(again assuming later polling is accurate).
This is the big question, for sure. If the polling turns out to have been accurate, this one’s an easy call.
But I’m pretty convinced it hasn’t been all that accurate.
Lol saw this on another forum: Keep in mind this is a week before the last election!
Punditry is so self serving on both sides.
This actually makes me feel better about the pundits I’m reading, this year they have numbers to back them up.
In other news Obam looks a lot less “gun ho” this year on MNF compared to last time… Not as much zest and spunk. Not a bad message though. Just looks and sounds ridden into the ground, no energy.
Mitt certainly has more “swag”. But the fucking asshole went the same steroids root that McCain did. UGH, he just lost.

The difference this time is you can find numbers to back up whatever side you’re pulling for this year while in 08 you had to really stretch to pull off what red state did.
So the party of “limited” gov’t sure doesn’t mind gov’t when it comes to eating. Kinda like they don’t mind it when it comes to bombing and keeping gays from marrying. God I hate Republicans and Democrats so much.
Now who can find me a poll with Gary Johnson in the lead

Why do so many people like Gary Johnson so much?
A better question would be why so many people want big government like Romney and Obama and not a pro freedom guy like Gary Johnson.
Apparently people like the control of Republicans and Democrats who are virtually the same on all the stuff that really matters imo.
The ironic thing will be Republicans cheering if Romney wins tonight and saying “finally the government will get off my back.” Lol, must have missed the last 3 Republican presidents massive expansion of government.
The winner of tonight’s election will be corporate interests and big government. It’s fun to watch the left-right cheerleading though.

A better question would be why so many people aren’t working harder at getting candidates like Gary Johnson out of the Coventry of the Libertarian Party into Elephant land where he can actually have half a hope of doing something other the stimulating the loins of a million post-Paul 20-somethings.

The issue is Libertarians are for small government. The Elephant land isn’t. Why would small government minded people go into a party of proven big government? They would have a better chance if they went R or D for sure…the problem is they don’t agree with those sides.
Nate Silver correct. Many people in this thread, not so correct.
It was lose-lose in my opinion as I didn’t support either candidate, but I did think Obama would hold on and it appears as I get ready for bed that will be the case.

Oh, with the strategies your boy’s are using, they certainly will get “small” government. Good luck with that.
Not saying it’s a good thing. I would bet that you and I actually agree upon more than we disagree upon. But you have to have a realistic strategy for wresting power from those who hold it and overturning the status quo. Third parties do not have one of these.

100x this.
And this literally is the most annoying part. Just running up some pot smoking libertarian every 4 years and bitching, can we have a real god damn strategy please?
