Late Night PWO Meals

I am unable to workout till 7 in the evening I then go to sleep at 10. I get a half serving of Surge before and one after my workout. What should my post meal then be? Can I still do carbs? Or will that elicit too much fat gain in the evening?

Soco,
I do the same thing and eat a normal pwo meal regardless of the time. obviously there are more or less carbs included depending on if i’m bulking or cutting. don’t worry about the time though, it hasn’t given me any problems.

C’mon people, do some friggin’ research yourself. This topic has been discussed numerous times. After a workout, your body needs carbs+protein. Your body doesn’t give a damn whether its 10am or 10pm. Your muscles need the proper nutrients to grow. Take your damn Surge PWO, then eat some oats, banana, and Grow!

How about you lay off? The search engine here isn’t exactly google. It’s a simple question that has a simple answer, there is no reason to be a jerk about it.

OK, OK. I apoligize for being a dick about it. Even though this question has been brought up several times, I did overreact. Sorry for my harsh post

When is your last meal before your workout (before the 1 scoop of Surge)?
2 scoops whould be the minimum, so I’d either load up before, or if you’ve eaten within a short time of the workout, just have the 2 scoops after.

BTW- Yeah, carbs are cool in this situation, even late at night. You just destroyed your body, so fat gain isn’t your body’s priority -repair is.

Cheers

I know you need carbs post workout but according to Berardi, your body treats carbs like a diabetic in the evening and thus I wanted to make sure.

Eat at about 5:30 or an hour and a half before workout, always protein plus carbs.

Soco,
It is my opinion that you would be better suited having a P+F meal at 5:30. Eat your other P+C meals earlier in the day. Unless you are bulking and you have to eat them all day.

I probably should eat P+F, right now it is more of a convenience factor as dinner is whatever is onthe table.

I don’t think this will be a big issue as I am going to move around my schedule so that I only have to eat late one night a week.
