What are you doing for your last trip to the gym this year? Just going through the motions or are you actually going to push yourself ONE LAST TIME?
Today is shoulder and “core” day for me…and I’m going to attempt some heavier DB presses (95s or 100s) as well as squeeze the shit out of my mid section when doing my pallof presses and bird dogs.
It’s not the biggest/most impressive day for me at the gym…but I’m going to make it special due to the day.
Legs day for me. I’m following CT’s Pillars of Strength program and today is the volume focused day.
A1-Front Squat 3x8
A2-Leg extensions 3x15
B1-Sumo Deadlift 3x8
B2-Hamstring curl 3x15
Standing calf raise 3x8
Seated calf raise 3x15
And I plan on busting my balls. As always.

Well i sure went hard, pr’ed for 5 on the military press and strained the posterior neck on the second set still did iso work after though. Not a great way to end but could have been worse.
I Figured for the last day of the year i’d try to go at it super hard. plus this way i can justify the extreme amount of calories i’ll probably ingest in the form of beverages later on tonight. my work out looks like this:
Not lifting tonight, spending time with the wife and watching Dark knight on blu-ray. Last workout was last night where I did Bi’s and Tri’s together for the first time in a long while. Reminded me why i hate that pairing.
Also have decided it’s time to really pay attention to my protein intake again. So while my last workout was bad in terms of intensity and what I got out of it in the gym. I’ll get something positive out of it mentally going forward…
Wednesday is an off day(Christmas was on Thursday Live =p) but I beat the shit out of chest yesterday. I do however start 2009 with leg day tomorrow =]
