Last Workout of 2008

I don’t post a lot b/c I just prefer to read on this site, but I figured I would post my last workout of 2008 and see if anyone else wanted to do the same.

Let’s finish up the year strong!

DB Bench Press: 65lbs-25 RP

Arnold Press: 35lbs-16 RP

Skull Crushers: 80lbs-15 RP

Bent Row: 155lbs-10 Reps SS

Sumo Deadlift: 185lbs-13 reps Touch and go.

What are you doing for your last trip to the gym this year? Just going through the motions or are you actually going to push yourself ONE LAST TIME?

Today is shoulder and “core” day for me…and I’m going to attempt some heavier DB presses (95s or 100s) as well as squeeze the shit out of my mid section when doing my pallof presses and bird dogs.

It’s not the biggest/most impressive day for me at the gym…but I’m going to make it special due to the day.

Will be doing my last training session of the year in a few hours time. It’s upper body 5x5 day so it will look like this:

A1) Incline DB Bench
A2) Lying DB Row
B1) DB Partial Press
B2) Pull-ups
C1) Close-grip Bench
C2) High Pull
D1) Rotator Cuff DB Raise
D2) Rotator Cuff cable pull

90s RIs between each set, done in superset fashion.

Legs day for me. I’m following CT’s Pillars of Strength program and today is the volume focused day.
A1-Front Squat 3x8
A2-Leg extensions 3x15
B1-Sumo Deadlift 3x8
B2-Hamstring curl 3x15
Standing calf raise 3x8
Seated calf raise 3x15

And I plan on busting my balls. As always.
I don’t pay $48 a month to be lazy!

Well i sure went hard, pr’ed for 5 on the military press and strained the posterior neck on the second set :confused: still did iso work after though. Not a great way to end but could have been worse.

Gonna hit my back like there’s no tomorrow… and start the new year off nice and sore (someone help me off this couch, I can’t get up)

I Figured for the last day of the year i’d try to go at it super hard. plus this way i can justify the extreme amount of calories i’ll probably ingest in the form of beverages later on tonight. my work out looks like this:

    5)pull-ups 3x6-8 1x failure
    biceps-
    1)straight bar 3x8-10

    1)hanging leg lift 3x20
    2)crunches 2x50
    3)oblique crunch 3x25
    3)ab wheel 3x15

I think that should do it for today. Im also supplementing in super pump for the first time so we’ll see how that goes. otherwise, enjoy the holiday.

I almost collasped. I have never sweated so much in my life either.

i think you guys should seriously consider taking Wednesdays off.

This morning I hit my back hard. Weighted pull-ups, cable rows, DB rows and HS Pullups.

Starting off the new year with my legs. Squats, SLDL, leg press, reverse hypers and of course calves.

Took a forced break today (Gym is closed) however I finished 2008 hard with a brutal workout yesterday

20 min Squats
20 min BB bench press
20 min Rack Pulls (below knees)
(all done in sets of 6)

10 min biceps and abs

looking forward to Friday when I have my first leg day of the year

did a shitty shoulder session today

gym was playing shania twain and a pile of retards where in. not very good…

Not lifting tonight, spending time with the wife and watching Dark knight on blu-ray. Last workout was last night where I did Bi’s and Tri’s together for the first time in a long while. Reminded me why i hate that pairing.

Also have decided it’s time to really pay attention to my protein intake again. So while my last workout was bad in terms of intensity and what I got out of it in the gym. I’ll get something positive out of it mentally going forward…

Wednesday is an off day(Christmas was on Thursday Live =p) but I beat the shit out of chest yesterday. I do however start 2009 with leg day tomorrow =]

im starting '09 with an off day and then squats :smiley:

Thats brilliant! You wouldnt have to schedule around Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years.
