Ugh, I haven’t had blueberries since I’ve come back to school…at home I had them daily. And then you have a whole pineapple/strawberries/blueberries cocktail, you lucky son of a gun.

Quick question for you - I’ve heard taking 3-4 tablespoons of coconut oil is the right dosage. Do you happen to think this is too much or too little. And would there be little worth to only taking smaller dosages?

Thanks Laroyal![/quote]

There are a couple of factors I would consider (general health issues) but that should be fine. In terms of fats I really don’t count how much I take in. I do eat A LOT!!

Even when I forget to mention it from time to time in my posts you cana count on a tablelspoon or 2 at each meal. I would say I average about 10-12 servings a day. Coconut oil is particullarly good for people with thyroid conditions or to transition into a low carb diet as the sort and medium chain triglcerides are easily metabolized so you won’t feel sluggish on low carbs.

Normally, I’d say to buy the pomegranate fruit itself and seed it, but some stores actually sell the seeds in bags (Trader Joe’s, for instance). Easier and far less messy, but I forget the cost differential.

There is definitely an art to seeding the greatest fruit on the planet

Well today was another great workout!!

For speed bench I used 135 bar weight and 80 lbs of chains and I think I set a new spee record:-) It FLEW up …the usual 9sets of 3 changing grip spacing every 3 sets (wide middle close)
The next thing I did was elbows in close dumbell speed benches on incline (about 45’) I got 21, 15, 12 with the 70’s and resting 45sec.

We went over to elbows out pressdowns on the gravity dip machine (one of my favorites) 3 sets 15 reps 45 seconds rest
Next it was dumbell seated cleans 20’s for 20 30x10 30x8

Finished with reverse pec dec 80x12 supersetted with alternating dumbell curls 40’sx10 no rest continious 3x through

I am going back to the gym tonight for some extra back work (some pullups, pullovers, trap 3’s, and stability presses with bamboo bar and kettle bells)

Why thank you Sir! Tis just the beginning tho… Won’t be long and you will be stepping on the platform yourself

Laroyal,

You take 3 grams of glycine under tongue with each meal. I use it for:

Management insulin, and calming SNC.

You are giving support to hormonal control with fenuplex (insulin) and yin tonics as taurine (snc). What is the purpose of your glycine intake?

BTW, I use it for GH management first thing in the morning too.

Terrific log!

Thank You. The glycine under the tounge supports my insulin protocol by normalizing my cortisol response, increasing insulin sensitivity and as you noted calms the CNS. For me the main reason for it is normilization of the cortisol curve.

Today’s workout…

It was basically a deloaded day as Friday will be another Heavy Squatting Day!!

I did 90x20, 180x15, 270x10, 320x8, 320x8, 320x8 on belt squats

Glute Ham raise 4x6

Reverse Hyper 4x10

Plyo Swing (wide) 2x20
Plyo Swing (close)2x20

I will go back tonight and do some sled dragging if this Columbus weather clears up:-)

Meal 1 8oz Ostrich handful mixed nuts
Meal 2 Shake
Meal 3 Buffalo blue cheese burger with green beans and coconut oil
Meal 4 Buffalo asparagus butter
Meal 5 Shake (post workout)
Meal 6 8oz Turkey Spinach Feta Pine nuts asparagus macademia nut oil

So, one is better off taking glycine under the tongue as apposed to simply drinking it in water?

Thanks,
Triv

p.s

Stay strong, mentally and physically!

Where do you buy ostrich in Ohio??

This is a tip I gathered from Biosig 2 and I have been doing it ever since. I don’t know that it is really that much better but, every little bit helps right:-)

Whole Foods carries it in the frozen meats section. Quite honestly, I find it to be more than a bit gamey…I just eat it for the variety factor.

You do intake high doses of BCAA during workouts. Do you consider pedyalite useful with them yet?

Reviewing some literature from Poliquin, I saw his BCAA have 4:1:1 ratio. I?ve planning add pure leucine to BCAA powder for these purposes. I mean, if I intake 30 grams of BCAA with ratio 2:1:1 I make this mix:

20 grams BCAA plus 10 grams pure Leucine: 30 grams of BCAA with ratio 4:1:1. Is this right? Or it isn?t relevant.

Thanks in advance, Coach.

With the ratio I have not read much about the signifigance of it. The main thing is you want to get OVER 10.4 rgams of Leucine. I take in enough that I am sure my Leucine requirement is met and I have been happy with the results.
