He got accepted into the LAPD. You can bet that his discharge was Honorable. Very very very unlikely if not impossible to get accepted if you have a diahonorable discharge.
He was fired from LAPD in 2009 and discharged from the Navy a week ago. His discharge was honorable, but I’m looking for the particulars of his discharge.
I believe his manifesto stated that he lost his high ranking security clearance after the LAPD incident, which cost him his position that used said clearance in the guard. Could be wrong though, and its unknown how much of his manifesto is factual.
That’s what I was thinking. He probably stayed in hoping his name would be cleared and he could get his clearance back. When that didn’t happen, I think he decided to pull the plug and voluntarily released, hence the honorable discharge.

I defend anyone who speaks truth to power. With the current information I have, I am far more inclined to believe Dorners side of things than a known corrupt and oppressive police unit.

All you screaming about how bad this dude is for killing an innocent by standard. Let me please see all your letters to congress, the president, and the SCOTUS demanding that we stop the drone program because it kills innocent poeple on a daily fucking basis IN YOUR NAME. And unless you are out there actively trying to stop the evil done in your name, you had better not speak so certainly about how someone else decides to dish out their own evil. Glass houses and all.

The truck the cops opened fire on, was it a totally different truck than the one this guy drove? That’s what I’m hearing. Haven’t seen it brought up in this thread anywhere, maybe I just didn’t read hard enough. So, this dude is obviously a murderer, no arguments there. But, what about the fuck head pigs that opened fire on 2 women in a truck that looked nothing like the one they were looking for? Naw, they’re just scared, no need for them to keep doing their job properly. You know, like a trained professional should do, no matter what. Nope no blame on any pigs here.

None of you people know what happens behind closed doors. I’m not talking the locker room doors of a police force. I’m talking the big mahgony ones the police are hired to gaurd, where the orders come from. The LA police force is known for secrecy and corruption throughout their ranks. But, this guy is the only bad guy here? Fuck that. The way this guy went about his business is horrible, but, in my opinion, the way the LAPD has been conducting their business for decades is expontentially more deplorable. With all the history of LAPD bullshit, do you think this guy thought there was any other way? You think if he took this to the bosses bosses, or to the courts that anything would have actually been done. If you do, you’re fucking delusional. He probably would have ended up with a bullet in his head.

Wake the fuck up people. This kind of shit is just going to get worse and worse. Public shootings seem to be happening on a more than monthly basis. Politicians pander to lobbyists, and could give a shit about the people. More and more fat fucks just sitting around watching fucking Honey Boo Boo, and seemingly bitching about everything. No, don’t go out and do anything about it. No one is taking your freedom. You are giving it away.

Murder the cock suckers that you feel so wronged by that you feel this is the only means left available to you. At least this guy is doing something. Is it the right something? I really don’t know anymore. At this point in history, maybe it is. Did he snap? From how long this has taken to transpire, I can’t believe so. People who snap go “postal”. Walk into a crowded environment and let loose. This guy is calculating. Everyone here who are only villifying this one guy go out and protest the pigs for the injustice they hand out daily or the politicians who are blatently ignoring the will of the people and see what happens to you. Shouldn’t you be able to go out and protest anything you want? Not unless you want to be labelled an enemy of the state.

Where the LA police force is this huge racially prejudiced machine in favour of anything it likes at the time but monitors one of the biggest cooking pots in the world.

A cooking pot which has excess heat, lots of guns, gangs, blacks, mexicans, eastern europeans, whites and other shit.

It then see’s no problems in further stirring this cooking pot of shit by making so many racially motivated judgements.

Stupid people, guns and big, BIG problems. Only one result: Fear and death. Land of the free my arse! Here in the UK we have racial problems but we dont get people going loco.
So I live here and feel qualified to comment. It ain’t like we walk around in fear everyday or there’s total panic on the odd chance that someone will go nuts. In this particular instance there were signs on the freeway telling us to call 911 if we see this guy but we weren’t on total lockdown. And it’s not like we have race riots daily. For the most part we all get along quite nicely.

Tell us again how peace loving it is there in the UK when all we read about over here are the soccer (football my ass) riots.

james
It doesn’t take long for Americans do go into lockdown on a personal level because the local government has a problem they cant handle so instead of doing their job, they make the population hysterical with paranoia about this guy.

“I HAS A GUN!”

Its more than likely this guy planned way in advanced on what he intended to do. You can only push someone so far and he has gone over the line.

Why would he go around murdering joe public? If I was him I’d be killing those who I hate, not some idiot with a carry permit.

ALso, I LOL’d at the football riots.

What football riots? Here in England we have a lockdown on that type of thing, you must be new to the whole domestic theme regarding English football.

Its Europe and Russia that has the problems. Those are racially motivated to and have large casualty lists. Our police are the best in the world when it comes to handling riots, which is far from what the US police can claim.

In fact, I remember reading about how the US police asked for our top brass to train their guys in riot control, it didn’t have much of an impact since you guys use force first and brains second…or never.

Sometimes there’s a reason for a broken record. Instead of tuning it out and shutting it off, maybe it’s stuck on something people should pay attention to and do more about than just tuning it out or shutting it off.

I see this thread being moved to PWI in: 5… 4… 3… 2…

Done. Now do you want to answer the question? That would be a lot more helpful in understanding how you interpretted that post, than being a pompus ass replying with ridiculous stock photos and asking rhetorical questions. There are dozens of documented cases of cops killing innocent people just from the last year. But, all the focus is on this guy. The first post used this event to illustrate that this is a systemic issue, not an isolated incident.

But, I’m just a happy go lucky Canadian drinking maple syrup beer and playing hockey. What do I know about anything?

Go back and read the thousand threads on police brutality and you’ll see the same outrage towards police officers that you see in this thread towards this guy. You literally have no argument.

No one is saying the LAPD is just. I think we’re all aware that they have many problems and I’m inclined to believe this guy’s story is at least partially true. But that does not warrant the killing of innocent people.

Seriously…you have no argument.

I think you’re onto something here. Trust in government is at an all time low. The middle class is being fleeced and anybody under the age of 25 should be getting really pissed off as they are going to be holding the bill.

There’s really no other recourse for the little guy. I think a lot more of these flip outs will be happening in the coming years, unless something really changes.

Never did I say that he was warranted in killing innocent people. I’m also aware of the outrage directed at police abuses. All I was trying to get at is it has to stop. I wasn’t really trying to put forth any kind of an argument. Frustration, more than anything, lead to that post. Sometimes I think it’s time for another revolution. Only in this day and age it almost has to be a world wide revolution. People don’t want to act like this. But, we’re too scared, ignorant, whatever to do anything about it.

All of this…I don’t know what else to call it but bullshit, is going to come to a head. Either people are going to realize they have been taken for fools and do something about it, or accept it and allow themselves to be treated as instruments to make the wealthy and powerful even more wealthy and powerful. Unfortunately it seems to be the latter position that is being taken up by the masses.

Why not stop directing our outrage at individuals, and turn it towards the systems we have allowed to treat us like this. It’s not the LAPD or any other low level organziation, it’s the system that runs the LAPD, and more than likely even futher up. It could never have become the corrupt organization it is without a more powerful entity allowing it to continue unchecked for decades. I have to believe this to be true all the way up.

Sorry, you’re right clarification is defintely needed. The innocents in my mind when writing this would be the daughter and fiance. The cock suckers he feels so wronged by would those in the LAPD. Like I said, frustration lead to that post. Do I really think he should be going around murdering anyone? No, of course not. There was a bit before that bit I erased, but didn’t go back and clarifu that bit. I’d also be lieing if I said I would never do something like this if put into a situation he is in.

You also left out the part where I said any other ‘legal’ option he may have had wouldn’t have done anything. If this is the path he choose to walk down the involvement of family members was unnecessary. Maybe I deleted that part, too.

Also, saying I wasn’t sure what the proper recourse is any more, I’m not trying to say that murder is definitely 100% warranted. Being a pig and called into active military duty this is all this guy knows. If he were a lawyer or a baker or a national forrest warden his actions would have been completely different.

surprised, no, not surprised at all actually, that the media and posters in this thread have not latched on that this guy is a big time left-wing progressive.

if was a white, republican/tea party/nra guy, wow, the press THAT would get.

i AM surprised X has not poked in here defending the guy to the teeth.

this topic has 5 star potential, but so far this thread gets 2.5-3 stars tops.
