Finished the day yesterday with military and chins based on wendler. It was a decent workout finished that off with some extra cardio 30 min 3.5 @ 6% and 6 @ 1% alternating for 2min each.
Well today was short on time so it was just 20 min on the precor burned about 270 cal and got the HR up into the zone I wanted.
Back to the firehouse tomorrow!

Yeah I came into work today to see that up here you guys didn’t get sh*t in the way of snow! WTF!
Well at the firehouse today so the workout consisted of 1.5 hours of B-ball with the crew.
Not a bad cardio workout!
Well today got crossed up by calls…
Managed to put in 20 minutes on the bike keeping the HR around 140 but nothing else significant done.
Ok today was the day I worked up to the single on the squat workout. And I surprised myself quite a bit!! I hadn’t done max singles in a long time and managed to hit a new PR, prolly could have had more in the tank but it wasn’t gonna happen today. So the next squat cycle should be really interesting!!
Well I’ve had a few workouts get messed up and managed to come down with a brutal cold. So hopefully I can pick up tomorrow with the bench workout I need to do!
Well finally made it back in today. No cardio I wasn’t that up to it. Did the last bench workout for this cycle and managed to work up to a PR for me (not heavy by alot of standards) but it was a milestone for me. Going to deadlift tomorrow so this should be interesting!
Well last day off and I finally feel better. Unfortunately today was just going to be cardio, did 3 hours of yardwork. Mowing raking cleaning up the yard.
Well today is at the firehouse, nice to be back fully to normal. Managed to get in some interval running on the treadmill. Then did some series of pushups, crunches and dips.
Not bad getting it done between a couple of calls.
Alright back into the gym today, it was deadlift day. I had estimated to low starting the 5/3/1 program so I was able to max out a little higher today.
It felt good to do more than I ever had before so I am looking forward to the cycles to follow and really increasing my strength.
Well today was cardio, spent 30 min on the treadmill burning up 503 cal and keeping my heart rate up for a 149 AVG.
Did some abs to finish and leg accessory work. Overall not a bad workout.
Well today was military press and pull downs since I need to work on my strength and form before doing pull ups again (i suck big time at them)
So I established a little higher number for my max going forward on military so we’ll see how this works on the next cycle of 5/3/1. Finished up with some treadmill work on a 15% incline for 15 min.
Well yesterday was a busy day trying to get everything done before coming into work for 48. Managed to get most of the things on my list accomplished (mother’s day gifts included). Cardio was three hours of yardwork in the nice 80 degree weather. Boy did that feel good to do something outside for a change!
Back into work today and I’m paying for getting to bed so late. Been dragging ass all day long, hopefully tomorrow the motivation will be better!
Well today was cardio at the firehouse. Treadmill time 15% incline at 2.5 mph for 30 min and that was it for the day. Kept the HR around 138 the whole time.
Well unfortunately this week had a few more off days than I planned. Plus when I went in yesterday to squat I just wasn’t feeling it (strength wasn’t there).
Today picked it back up with some cardio 30 min on the treadmill varying incline, between walking and running. Finished with some accessory work (shoulders and legs). Back to the firehouse again already tomorrow so two more days of cardio are coming up.
Well got some cardio in earlier, 15 min on treadmill at 20% incline. Then just messed around with some push ups, tri’s and bi’s and some stretching. Not really much since I’m at work and limited on what I can do.
Also did an hours worth of training in full gear on air crawling around and so forth. So I think that counts as well!
Alright time to get caught up here. I started a new cycle of the 5/3/1 with my new adjusted max weights. Did the squat workout earlier in the week and it was good, tough but good.
Today was bench which is tough since I’m on duty but the station I’m at has enough weights and a rack to be able to do the workout (not like I need alot of weights right now). Finished up with some jumping rope for cardio, man that is harder than I remember!
