Madcow 5x5 is a great program, I’ve done it several times over the years. I suggest you stick with that as long you keep setting PRs, maybe with one reset, then switch to something with more volume and higher rep ranges. Like this: Boring But Big 3-Month Challenge - T Nation Content - COMMUNITY - T NATION .
Unless you want to hop on or have a deficiency in diet or training , your not going to explode in size after three years. Trust me I’m just two years older and it sucked sometimes. Just patience. You don’t look like you have a deficiency of either.
What are you more focused on? A future in BBing or PLing?

Both. My goal is to be a hybrid.

What I’m gathering is that you feel like you deserve more size for the numbers you’ve worked to put up on the big 3?

Pretty much. There are guys who are weaker but bigger than me. Also my lifts have gone up: I can now bench 225x3, squat 405x1, and deadlift 495x2

Strength doesn’t always mean mass, if you are going for both powerlifting and bodybuilding then you are going to be getting a compromise in strength/size.

I hear that, but the correlation between strength and size is not always 100%. So many factors go into hypertrophying a muscle and the number on the bar is not always directly relevant. I worked with a bench coach back in 2012 and added 30+lbs to my bench in less than a month from just switching my position on the bench, learning to use my legs, etc. Yes, increasing the cross sectional area of a muscle will lead to greater force output potential (i.e. bigger squat, bench, etc.); however, technique and neurological adaptation are also key players. It’s why you see guys that weigh 160 squatting and deadlifting 500+lbs. My bench coach also had a 600+lb raw squat. I’ve never squatted over 375, but had bigger legs than him. He was training 1-5 reps and band squat while I was doing 100 reps on the leg press.
If you want more size, you’ll have to dedicate a portion of your week or each workout to movements that maximize damage to the target muscles. Read the mountain dog training articles on here. Tap into that world of slow negatives, drop-sets, partial reps beyond failure, and all that fun stuff. The sooner the better.

I more or less agree with your point, but that example is really pushing it. So much that without more evidence I call bullshit.
I can vouch for what Jskrbac is saying, however after awhile of doing endless volume and mountain dog type training i felt like i had to do more strength oriented work so eventually i can do that crazy, voluminousness, pain tolerance type training, with significantly heaiver weights. Heavy weight for high reps, yeeeeeeeeah budday

Oh really? Sorry but with claims like that I don’t just take somebody’s word for it. Of course, I assume we are talking about a legit 600 raw squat (which is fucking badass btw) and not some sky high abortion with knee wraps.
I also find it odd that both of you don’t have impressive quads, which makes the whole thing even less believable.

So where is the evidence for the claim I was attacking?

If I recall correctly, the dude Jake’s talking about is a single Ply lifter.
But I mean you can just use you and Grind’s pictures as evidence for what they are talking about. You have a 500+ Squat, right? And it seems if you leaned down your Quads would be similar in comparison as Grind’s who doesn’t Squat near as much as you, I don’t believe.
I’m basing this on the older pictures you’ve posted in the past, you could be way bigger/stronger/leaner I suppose.

Unfortunately, I can’t find any photos or videos of him that show him squatting or show his quads better than this bench video. Bruce Mendoza's 545lb. Bench Press - YouTube

Do you good morning the shit out of your squats? that would explain the lack of leg development. front squats/leg press would probably be your friend. Just get more bro on your accessory movements and you’ll be fine. if you want something more specific feel free to ask

I quit reading at the part about Grind not having impressive quads lol

Just to clarify, I dont think anyone should not strive to squat more weight for more reps , It’s just I’ve seen a lot of people in the gym who squat the same or more than me but legs aren’t as developed, I think it mostly comes down to genetics.

Wasnt the claim that you dont need to squat big weight to have big quads? or along those lines. So the proof is the pics showing good quads without a massive squat. seems like its quite well support and IS has be thwarted as per usual
Some guys are going to be able to get tremendously stronger without gaining a lot of weight. Others will have to put on more muscle to do so. Genetics play the biggest factor in that.
Pozdeev squatted the world record raw squat for his weight class in training, currently has the world record raw deadlift for his weight class, and looks like a goddamn tennis player.
