LA Boycott of AZ

Maybe the LA City Council should know their own laws before they talk shit…

California Penal Code Section 834b

834b. (a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.

(b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:

(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws.

The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.

(2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States.

(3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity.

(c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.

Yea, so all the Anglos should go back to Europe. All of the blacks should go back to Africa and we should return this land back to the Native Americans.

How about a law that focuses on the real problem: The fact that as long as jobs are given to illegals, they will come. They aren’t stealing jobs, it’s not stealing when they it’s given to you. Why would a business hire someone with no english comprehension when for the same wage they can hire an english speaker? The answer is, they won’t, they’ll hire them for a lower wage.

As long as mexicans are offered jobs here by American employers, they will cross the border. Until employers are targeted and a fence is built the problem will continue. As for the law, just cut out the “it’s not profiling” that is as much bullshit as Faux News and “enhanced interrogation.”
Uh, what?

So your an advocate for hindering one’s right to private property?
LMAO right on man. I knew a middle of the road anarchist and a member from the right could get along.

It’s California’s little brother. It got in the same mess of trouble big brother did economically except it didn’t do a good job at cooking the books. Secondly, it really doesn’t offer me nothing but an ex-girlfriend. Thirdly, every other person that I know that has jumped ship from AZ has used the same label I used earlier.

I don’t think AZ is California’s little brother. From what I understand, and I could be wrong, they do not have the wreckless spending beast that we have. I would rather pull anyone off the street and put them in office here, than to keep our worthless legislature. We have 500 Billion in unfunded pension liabilities, imagine that, 1/2 Trillion for a state. That is what happens when you have people who expand government during a recession. Rather than cut back spending, we have boobs in office who added to it.

Arnold is now proposing cutting 12 Billion from welfare to help with the budget, and people are up in arms about that too. In the eyes of our legislature, it is only the taxpayer who should feel the heat. God forbid some government workers get laid off. They are immune.

This is not the situation I see in AZ.

AZ is at the oposit extreme that Cali is . While being a slight more liberal than the average poster here. Az severely under pays their employees , and it is due to all the cheap labor avalible . I am a little curious how this will all pan out , when they get rid of illegal labor and they have to pay a wage that legal peole will work for , I believe it will be some what of a shock.

How do we over pay our workers? If we were not paying them enough, they would not be working.

yeah fuck California

So when do the Greece-like riots start?
When city workers DO get laid off. When taxes and regulations have chased off every single job and business in the state. When unions finally lose their hold on the nutsack of the state. When this horrible Democratic legislature runs the state completely into the ground. Then you will see people surround the capital and storm it, chasing and carrying people out nude.

This might be my biggest complaint, or in my top 3 complaints about illegal aliens. People think the are getting cheap labor when using them, but in the end you pay more. Illegals make babies, they get sick, they get welfare for the kids. When you add all that up, it’s MUCH more than paying a legal worker to begin with.

I think market principles will work the problem out. Paying higher wages for the employer means less profit for him. He also cannot jack up the price too much, or no one will buy his product. This is what I call the law of Ebay. On Ebay, as a seller, you have to price your item competitively with other sellers, otherwise it won’t move.

So do you think the Governor, whoever that may be, will put the national guard at the border? I hope they do. I want a more secure border.

Just so you know, if everyone in California was you, I wouldn’t have a problem with it. Just most people in Cali seem to be a little off their rocker.
