Knife or Gun?

It just dawned on me you may have misunderstood what I said. You realize that when I said “out of battery” I wasn’t talking coppertops? I’m talking about the slide of an auto loader being pushed slightly out of firing position resulting in a failure to fire.

ahhh yes, i know what you’re refering to.

however, BEACUSE i know of that, for that exact reason i wouldn’t be pushing the muzzle of my weapon as hard as i could into you.

i thought you were referring to my “stungun” running out of juice.

LOL

Attacking from a distance is for COWARDS.

This is a world of cowards, so if you use a knife, or sword you will get killed.

Pulling a trigger requires no discipline, no training, no skill. Knives and swords are another story, but as I said before, this is a world of cowards.
You can’t be serious? Shooting takes tremendous discipline. I shoot some miscreant who means me harm in Pa. and i will be exonerated. I stab him or actually use a sword to defend myself and I go to jail for along time.

In this country, the knife is more likely to be seen as a coward thing or a bad guy thing. good guys in most of the country can carry a gun with a CCW. A knife is a messy legal area.

Be proficient in both. Try to anticipate threats and avoid them altogether or at least gain standoff or cover before it becomes kinetic. When it does, use combatives and/or the knife to gain standoff and cover when needed. Then go to the gun. My choice of knife is an automatic Benchmade.

I’ll take my rifle. it beats knife any day. And you didn’t say it had to be a handgun. My deer rifle, beats knife any day.

Hahah true. It’s hard to claim self defense when they show the picture of a guy all cut up, blood and piss and maybe shit all over the place… those pictures fuck with a jury just a bit.

Haha. Maybe your part of the country lucky fucker.

How about neither?

Man it sounds like you guys live your lives waiting to be attacked at any time.

I asked cops, both state and local what are the laws in Pa. about carrying a knife for self defense. Blade length, fixed, or folding, etc. They did not know.

I carry a Kel Tec 380 or a 1911 and I know I’m legal. Jury si out on my benchmade folder.

Just shoot the fucker.

Wow I mean that ranks right up there with one of the most ignorant things I have ever read. I have trained 3 different martial arts and I still go to the range and put rounds through my P220 Sig and my R700 so I don’t slip. Sambo and Judo were more physically challenging but once learned you know it, but I’m sure that means I’m a coward too. So in conclusion…NO YOU ARE!
Im sorry if my comment was misunderstood. Of course I know that proper operation and maintenance of firearms requires knowledge and skill. Firearm combat and military use of guns its certainly not a cowardly thing, you have to have balls, and trianing.

What I was talking about was you typical bar-fight, I meant that anyone can pull a trigger, a crack addict or gang member may kill you, no matter how strong or prepared with a knife you are . This subjects probably hve no trianing in firearms at all, maybe they just steal a handgun and thats it, the only thing the know to do is spray’n pray, but even like that, they could land a lucky shot and kill you easily.

It’s not a “hard as you can” type pushing. It takes less than 10 pounds of backwards pressure on the slide to put the gun out of battery.
