and some kettlequeer stuff yesterday

three rounds of this yesterday
with a 25lb kettle bell

20 hindu pushups
25 goblet squats
20 swings
10 swings right arm
10 swings left arm
5 turkish get ups right
5 turkish get ups left
20 clap pushps
10 ab rollouts

turkish get ups are hard as fuck for now

B front squat 225 2x5, 245x3,275 5x1
C seated calves 100 rp
D seated Good mornings 95x3x8

zerchers been a long time.
greatest way to watch your deadlift and squat move up.
or the best way to make your stomach just back from a virus feel like its gonna fall out your ass.

either way these are hard as hell I think I was doing 405 for singles way back when.

front squats should have just done some volume at 225 like4x6 or something.
the singles where just enough ‘rest’ to re-rack.

did not feel up to much after these go figure :))
calves, need to do these once a week or so.

seated good mornings- I cant say I feel these in my lower back at all
more of a thoracic and upper back move neck and traps felt ok not great but stable.

its true squatting to frampton left me weak.

today as predicted - deep recovery.
things like zerchers and push presses seem to wear me out.

Dude a 315 Zercher is absolutely bad ass.

Those are huge zerchers. Quite honestly, I’ve never tried them. But since you say they drive up squat and DL numbers, I might have to give them a go.

these where not off the floor- they were off the lowest part of the rack
its not a power cage some generic stepped rack
basically its ass to grass to start.

The great albino was using them and singing their praise so I
try to use them too.

really hit the low back glutes and inner thighs hard

basically anything from low pins up-
will build strength fast.

I think the time I noticed the benefits the most was during a time
when I did weighted air humps and zerchers

weight air humps being glute bridges?.. I have thought about doing some of these, but in a commercial gym, I would be the talk of the town, I think. Of course, sometimes, that’s not so bad.

you think silly things like trap bar jump squats don’t look silly?

glute bridges or air humps are great a few months back there was a great article on them

weighted air humps hit the p-chain very hard and differently then other work

1 year check up for little man.
23 lbs and 29.5" tall.

some kettly queer shit for me.

a bunch of swings and some get ups.

Yeah, you are right, if it works, then someone saying wtf are you doing is the dumbass in the end. The wife has pretty much decided to stay at the old gym, at least for a while, so I can extend my workouts a bit at the new place, since I am by myself, I might just add a few of these in on DL and/or squat days in the coming weeks, to see how I like them, thx for the mention of them. Had watched videos on them, and thought about it, but never took the step.

training is looking great. at the gym I just stopped going to, people look at like I have 2 heads just for doing goodmornings. they would prolly burn me at the stake for air humping.

I feel good training has been sporadic

Last night little man ate what looked like 1/2 a jar of vicks vapo rub.
no ER visit but lots of stress.

Natalie Merchant could make me cry

training got ambushed today…

this time it was by Journey and the calf raise machine that attacked me

notes -

again the ipod that went through the wash and dryer is only half working.
so I got stuck squatting to journey.

I had to share the rack today- so I did not do what I wanted

wanted to do OH squats first but started with front squats
did lots and lots of leg swings while I waited for the other guy
who was 1/4 squatting 255 whatever

the 275 triple was super easy- so I loaded for 305- no 2.5 plates.

I did a set of leg swings and hit my shin hard enough on something
hard enough to sit down-

when I looked had tons of blood pumping out of my shin
and it hurt a bit.

I hobble to the paper towels thing and wrap it up
and sit there with a wrist wrap + paper towels on it for a few minutes
while the 1/4 guy , and two teenagers are staring at me.
til I asked if they needed something.

I thought I should go home
it kinda hurt.

but I already had to wait for the rack.

then I sprayed it with the disinfectant to clean the benches,

wrapped it in fresh paper towels
thought I felt wobbly- so I went back down to 275 for the single
then 295 for another single.

trap bar jumps - felt fine
pistols felt fine
but at this point I felt all kinds of wobbly.

so I went home.
now I am sitting here and its all cleaned out.
but still bleeding.

what is wrong with me.
But hey If I can still hit a 295 front squat to journey

I guess Im doing ok.
