Grats on the PR, and not so much on the tons of blood pumping out of the shin.
Take care that chin bro…
Journey’s “seperate ways” gets me amped…Steve Perry got some awesome pipes and an awesome hairdo…
love the quarter squatters, almost as good as the guys on the treadmills with gloves. wtg on the pr. i like your immensely varied routines.
Your dialog is interesting to read.
It always amazes me that babies/toddlers will eat things that can’t POSSIBLY taste good. Vick’s Vapo Rub. Mmmm.
blood flow in training is always a win/win
Thanks people…
thank you Soldog
I was kind of wobbly
Matty xl
Journey actually is ok I do think of huge hair and cars.
and somehow those kind of songs make me think of
t-shirts that say Flatbush or Brooklyn in script
and 7 ounce bottles of beer
Ksnap I guess I try to keep it funny
Wb I am just trying to find things I can do-
and figure out how to program them
Petes sometimes I thought a little blodd was the point. :))

anyway- I have huge doms today from yesterday even though I did’nt do allot of vollume
Blood on the iron, oh yes. Good training. Happy St Paddy’s day.
Thanks Hel.
NYC st patricks day is kind of fun-
you get to see all the kids, from the burbs and the deepest furthest neighborhoods
staggering around at 8am drunk in the big city.
And when you are irish aas feck and dont drink it get old fast.
skipped training today
spent all day taking food network’s money.
my shin has me hobbling around, I felt it all day using a ladder.
think a big fat ice bath is going to happen on Sat.
still hobbling around.
just some keetle queer stuff on sun and Mon.
Sun
did a 30/30 tabata swing for 8 rounds.
Mon
just a medley of push-ups swings, get ups and squats.
probably more of the same tonight.
exciting.
Not much going on here
making bad TV… good to be busy with work…

so not much training.
basically a shit ton of
bw squats,push-ups and kb crap

3x12 handstand push-up
3x30 kettle bell swings
douse that hole with rubbing alcohol and patch it up with antibiotic ointment (unless you want to see the doc about a serious infection) and scrub it out with the alcohol too.
I’d suggest imbibing a good quantity of whiskey first (to sterilize from the inside) but I know you don’t partake anymore.

DUDE!
Wicked cool. Sorry I’ve been away. Just read about your shin injury. I declare you completely mental for training through gushing blood, and a beast for a 3-plate front squat. You perplex me and I LIKE IT!!!
3x12 handstand pushups is outstanding Kevin. You might be the only one I know who can do one set much less three.
Thanks for making bad TV…which is my favorite kind of TV to watch!
12 handstand pushups? awesome!

Kent, I think it goes without saying that anyone, like all of us, who sweats and grunts under piles of iron into their twilight years definitely has issues.
hey kevin. I remember when my boy, while getting his diaper changed by his idiot father, grabbed the a&d ointment and squirted a bunch in his mouth. he made a “this is icky” face, but swallowed it all anyway. freaked out dad called poison control, who told me to gel. child did not die. guess I’m a good dad after all.
Man, I don’t even know if I can do a handstand let alone 12 handstand push-ups. That’s impressive. Cool log man, like the way you structure your training.
Seriously, your front squatz amaze me and make me jealous! I’ll get you one day gadget.
Nice training all around. Training in triples is fun. Agreed!
kudos for getting in all the ‘gymnless’ training too - you are a much better man than I…um…er…you know what i mean. HSPUs are insanely hard!
Btw, i’ve worked in the TV biz here for a few years myself. For even worse “bad TV” - latin TV! HAHA! Azucar!
Thank you people for all the love… and props.
been busy will catch up with everyone soonest.
have done some kettle queer and pushpus and junk nothing much.
Bad TV pays the Bills- think of a show that you watch in NYC
and I have prob worked on it from Law and order to food network to gossip shows
sadly I have even shot some reality TV show reunions scary.
tis a sacrifice.
sighs.
maschy tell me more-
telemundo is scary. :)))
some words on handstand push-ups-
somehow these are easier for me then say benching 225 for more then 2.
go figure.
wearing socks that slide on a wall helps
while going fully to the bottom- head on floor-
I prob am not locking out fully - just off locking out.
12 was hard, too hard.
and I have some tiny broken veins on my eyelids.
5x5 is the smart move or 3x5.
training
3.30.11
lower
pvc at home
mobility
warm up
BB complex RDL hang squat clean, jump shrug, power snatch, OH squat all by 6
bar 2x, 65 2x
then OH squat 65 2x5- something isn’t right here. more dislocates please.
ankle mobility junk lots and lots
leg swings 45,879,345
hanging leg raise feet to face 3x10
A front squat
95x8,135x8,225x5,245x3,275x3,295x2, 245 2x3
B 1 arm db snatch both sides
60x5 , 70x5, 80x5,90x3 these became split snatches
C pistol to ‘box’ box was 6 plates stacked no clue how tall less then 18" maybe 15"??
2x10 each
Notes.
lots of mobility- surprise,
something isn’t right with OH squats- too tight.
doing hanging leg raises first is the smart move-
these are more for lower back then abs for me
will figure it out, more dislocates, and some low back static stretches I think
and more ankle work on the left side.
Front squats- the 275 triple felt heavy today- and my right knee got all crooked
and not fully ATG the 295 double felt better, these went ATG.
the next triples at 245 felt heavy.
db snatches
all fun- the 90’s became split snatches and I felt these pretty hard.
pistols,
clearly I need to do more on my left side duh.
no clue how tall 6 bullshit off brand plates from 1983 are in height.
that’s it thanks for reading.
