Nice HLRs. Since you’re not using the swing to propel the movement, it’s no big deal. I like the way you accelerate at the end towards the top.

and for you shrinking-
I cant imagine routinely loading 500 plus pounds
for your reps of GMS has anything to do with it

or is just the illusion of huge width diminishes the height.

pretty sure it is the squatting/pulling/gming. graduated high school at 5 11.5, kept that through college and twenties

I’m with you on “swole but boring as fuck” - I find BBing like that. I guess its just not my steeze.

I just checked out some of your old snatch grip DL vids. They are mofo boss! I just started DLing again and I find overhand much harder (i’m not even doing snatch) than mixed. I find that I’m having a hard time keeping my back tight. I’m going to implement my snatch cues - chest up, lats retracted and see if that helps keep me from rounding. Do you have any other tips?

HLR I had a TON of practice in college all we had was a universal rack thingy and some Stahl Bars
where I first went to college

and an OK grip
Ive been finding to let the bar loose in my fingers sort of

cuing- I think I need allot of work with keeping chest out
and head up

what I do know I am having a little sucess with is driving with my heels
and squeezing the glutes like crazy

I think when get the best results is when I don’t hem and haw

grab the bar- and hinge/bend the hips til my shins hit the bar-

here is where I try to arch like mad
sit back pull the slack out of the bar
I think the driving the hips forward and driving the legs down is
what helps it be fast.
