KM'c Black Irish Bastid 3.0

dude, kinda scary with the doctor.

good work, 6 inch defecit is huge.

I’m a Mets fan. They’ve been absolutely unwatchable for a while now. Not because they’re bad, but because the whole organization is so FUBAR, and just plain unlikable. But I refuse to jump on the Yankees bandwagon.

Lived in NYC during 9/11, right outside the no-drive zone on 15th street. Lots of memories good and bad.

Listen to Fischer.

Pete- thanks- 405 near killed me.
6" might be too much for me to pull from

It is scary about the Dr.
I keep hoping this shit will go away on its own.

PG- Mets fan, who knew.
Lived on 2nd and 2nd for years til recently.

Fischer is pretty smart.

He’s scary smart.

Hope the Doc’s extended golf trip ends soon.
Nice Deads and pressing. I’m jelly.

I have to agree with what Fisch stated, not that my opinion really matters but if your not training for a meet it seems that there are so many other exercises that will hit the chest anyway and possibly more effectively i.e. dips, wtd pushups you know the shit you do already. I stopped flat benching for about 6 months and only started doing it again because I have a hair up my ass about competing, honestly it still doesent feel good it feels better on my shoulders but not great…in watching Tates so you can think you can press series again, he stated its supposed to feel uncomfortable which opened my eyes…however, in your case theres a big difference in my nagging aches and pains that most of us have and something that is more serious. I guess Im a bit of an anomoly with inclines as they give me no issues at all, and it seems I can push more weight up at this point. But seriously bro, I would hate for you to get really banged up bad over benching…

And the Defecit pull is full on ridic, I would of fell right over!

OP thanks - Fischer is smarter then the average bear-
and a good trainer

Matty - thanks bro. it is a fine line of being uncomfortable and
things doing more damage then good

speaking of more good then damage-

Air humps - have left my P-chain all swole but not that sore

some new from the DR is trickling in this is from my GP who is an internal medicine guy
who has always advocating - no surgery
but also advocates dont do stupid shit.

the damage is still there
its quite inflamed superise

He thinks its probable that I am loosing some oxygen to the brain,
and that - I was dehydrated makes it worse.

he is looking into some things- he knows I drink shit tons of water
think working the baseball game wore me out

I guess in this case no news is good news

What kind of neck work do you do Kevin–Not the neck bridge crap either.

With your job making it worse with the arms overhead for long periods of time your neck condition gets worse right?

I got it FLOOR PRESSES with a barbell with legs flat no arch. Try that and let me know how you neck is.

Didn’t mean to set off a whole tirade about care for the neck. But that statement, KMC, that tiny little phrase about your head and neck having nowhere to go when benching really jumped out at me as odd. Obviously, something serious. Take care of yourself. You are a great athlete but probably need to avoid certain lifts. It’s like me with OHPing. Maybe someday. But not now.

deficit stiff legs- +6" nearly killed me

How did you manage this?

I tried a 6" defecit deadlift before and I couldn’t do it because the bar was right on top of the bridge of my foot, the most I could manage was a 4" defecit.

Am I missing something? or do I just have freakishly fat feet!

…and Kevin, be sensible about the neck thing.

Thanks for the e-support it is good to see people looking out.

via telephone my DR is telling the other dr who wanted me to
do a cortisone shot (again) to kindly fuck off.
trying to book an ART appointment for next week.
My brother has one he Likes trying to set that up.

Rick- its a few things at work

-working with arms over head for most of the day
-looking up at the ceiling, truss, grid, sky for the other part
-sitting in a tight as place with shit posture looking at a monitor with head leaning forward

I do ZERO neck work no bridges, no weighted harness .
No shrugs or stuff like that

I do roll it with a bosu ball against a wall
and I constantly stretch massage , adjust it.

floor presses - with db’s and flat legs I have done
I would have to get creative and find a way to rig
a bb no real cage here.

ksnap- no worries this is a ‘life’ injury Im just finding more ways its fucked up

FB - thanks- I am trying to take care of the neck

I think the deficits I use a plate on top of some junk
and the bar is just over my feet
Im also only training 2x a week for the most part so I can kinda go a little crazy.

trying to train tommorow in the am.
upper crap and conditioning

4 rounds of
30 kb swings 25lb bell
30 reverse lunges
30 pushups
8 TUG
30 sec plank
30 goblet squat + 25

pvc rolling

How bout benching BB style in the dreaded Smith Machine?

I like the complexes. I have to admit i am a huge fan of them, but lately have gone off them for a change of pace, as the body was getting worn down, adrenal burnout etc. But making a huge change in programming and diet has worked wonders. Careful with the neck though, i tore all the ligaments in mine years ago playing rugby, and has been a pain ever since, just be careful mate

Hope all is well and you can be fixed right up!

Sorry to read about your neck. Hope you are doing better.

Between art sessions, this roller might help. They make a smaller version.

I just rock my neck back and forth and it hits triggers points and loosens facia. You probably have some scar tissue left?

Thats a lot of kettle bell swing’in!

Deep bar push-ups. There was a time when I did sets of fifty and could bench 225 lbs cold. One needs weights to gain muscle and strength beyond one’s norm. Once that has been achieved mantaining it is simply a matter of finding an alternative exercise that stressing the muscles to their max. Deep bar push-ups if you find those easy try them on medicine balls. As Fischer stated there are an array of exercises that can replace the bench. Stay healthy!

Thanks people…

Matty- I think I only use the smith machine for NGHR
pushups are a better bet

Timmyo- thanks You I do love complexes both to warm up
and some conditioning

MinM- thank you!!

Nadia- thanks it is and I am!!

OP thanks for the tips
