Maybe you should just do lunges everywhere? You know, when you walk to work, or when you’re walking around the set. And then anytime you pick something up, just press it like 15 times. :slight_smile:

wiped out today- no suprise there
felt ok after a TON of activation and BB complex
added a few rounds of BB complex to get warm
should add a few sets at the end of the day too

wanted some spin bike tabata ran out of time

caught a bunch low , I can catch 185 standing- but catching anything heavier gets hard on the hands
pulls wanted triples , and wanted hook grip on everything but too wiped out from work

It wasnt that long a training session maybe an hour and 10 minutes

usually I say mobility- and don’t write it all out.
there isn’t allot rest
the mobility stuff is 10 to 15 minutes
the bb complex takes as long as it is- the work and changing plates.

pretty much the rest is the same thing
not much more rest then changing plates

the A1 A2 stuff - is pretty much super setted- just the time it takes

Notes

first benching in well over a year-

first the big sucess- pullups- something close to 100 either way
+75 lbs felt good- 90lbs uglee but good rom.

the complex at the end comes from Joe defranco- just 4 rounds felt kinda pukerific

last the bench- figured out why these suck.

I arch - not a great one but I do arch and retract the scaps and keep tight
its driving the traps to the bench that kills my neck
shoulder pain is predictable, and kinda manageable.

Its my neck and head have no where to go- no shifting that I can do in say an OH press

shit to think about.

anyway a good day for pullups.

How did the benchin feel? will it be a mainstay now? plus awesome pullups man, I have actually started doing weighted pull ups again it seems as if the band resistance chins strained my arm…Ill stick with the weighted for a while…

sounds like your kinda work is either all on or all off. nice training. i tried those one legged knee things and they did feel good. pretty sure i’m not doing them right yet but good stretch for my ankle and i got less wobbly over time. i figure i need more one legged stuff…

shoulders felt stable- my neck is a mess of pain right now

the pullups where awesome yesterday serious soreness today

I might start benching or at least trying more floor presses etc

lexie - unilateral work is a great for stabilization-
you can google peterson step ups for some other heel touch work

work is either survival mode or its busy busy busy.

for the last 3 years TV has been slow- its coming back finally

this is a pic from the 9.11 mets vs cubs game
was working for ESPN for some baseball coverage.

about 200 NYPD and other bag pipers came out
firemen, sanitation EMS etc marched out

the hole stadium was filled with this enormous flag.

I’m not exactly the most patriotic person
and truth be told I don’t dwell on 9.11

sitting here at work at a freaking ball game
when I’m clearly not a sports fan
in a brand new Stadium

surrounded by voices with my own accent
which is unusual - in public

hearing the bag pipes of funerals
and seeing a huge ass fucking flag being unfurled
needless to say tears ran freely.

this was all book-ended with a reality show on Thurs til 2am
a bunch of Dr. visits on Friday
big weekend of ESPN shoot on Sat Sunday
and I am taking Food networks money Mon and Tues.
Yay work.

first Dr visit was awesome.
Rowan is 33 and 3/4 inches tall and weighs 30.5 lbs.

Seriously Kevin is it worth it benching to really screw up your neck to the point of permanent nerve damage and weakness?

Alternate execerises.

  1. Blast strap or ring pushups with weighted vest.
  2. Dips
  3. push ups - and weighted

Do inclines hurt?
How about dumbbell work?
