Snatch grip deadlifts are seriously tough. I’m always amazed how much difference the wider grip makes.
Nice work.

Nice work.
Nice pull, love the foot stop. Haven’t seen anyone do that in years.
Nice work Bro! I see what you mean with the 425, now snatch grip is that a wider grip? what changes with a snatch grip?
I should be the last guy to tell anyone this, but if you put on 10-5 lbs you could move some seriously impressive poundage. I know this other fella built like you, ginger irish, 5’8" or so, does some rolling, and can squat a shit-ton no warmup. You’ve the same build and “aura.”
Yeah - I’m from Cali and we talk about auras…so?
farmerB thankyou, yes I forgot how tough they are too
German- thanks, first saw it in 92 or close to it
Matty thank man little progress at a time
yeah you can see me struggle as the bar got away
need to work on that
snatch grip deads
I grab just past the rings, and set up lower, the bar moves in a bigger ROM
I use allot more back and I can keep a much better arch
feel they help my arch, grip and speed
Thanks Tony- so now I need to bulk
If I could get closer to 200 and stay lean and agile I would do it.
that is allot of food Im like 185ish
I won’t comment on the aura
Dude, that 405 was a thing of f##kin’ beauty. For what it’s worth, I weigh 'bout the same as you and your 1RM is something like 100 lb more than mine. I think you’re doing pretty damned spectacular.
Ahh, a perfectionist.
I think this sport draws a lot of us.
you had some nice speed on the 405 and 425.
That foot stomp is weird, sounds like you’re on linoleum instead of rubber.
Can’t quite tell from the video, are you arching your back enough?
I haven’t done snatch DLs in a while. Too many DL variations to stay caught up with.
I do foot taps, not stomps. But if it makes me pull as awesome as you, then I’ll try it.
Damn fine pulling, 455 flew up IMO.
WOW!!!
Canada K- thank man- its all relative the size body weight stuffs
Thank you Ms.Snap- love your summer look- aren’t we all?
NLmainly- thank you next project bigger numbers with more speed
Cav I don’t know I do the foot stomp- go figure, yes I need more arch.
everyone needs more arch.
Nikki thankyou , Snatch grip is fun but it wears on the joints
and I agree too many cool things to do or keep track of
Dday- thanks man its moving along

I should probaly do that for the rest of the week

Strong pulling. You still have the aura of a wrestler.
I watched an O-lift meet, and a lot of the Catalyst Athletics lifters (Greg Everett coach) did the foot stomp with sound thing before their lifts.
Yeah man heal up especially if your on ladders, do you do any rigging work? I used to work with my brother in law’s company for some extra cash putting up mobile stages, lighting and rigging for shows, tough work but the money was good.
Thanks Punnyguy-
I think its the forearms and compactness
that make me look like a wrestler
Matty- thanks man,
its like foot and ankle conspiring together.
I do rigging and , in the past I did more of if I try not too
anymore but everyone has to eat.
this world is getting smaller faster >_< I probably know your brother inlaw…
Are they based in SI?
here are some vids from earlier today
315 x3 snatch grip think its the last set I need new gym clothing.
365x2 these kind of became stiff legged
speed pulls these where kind of heavy I have to do more frequently
and more hips through
some snatch high pulls - need more hip pop or extension or what ever
thanks for watching will catch up on all you people soonest
Actually he was based in Queens, and now in PA, his name is Chris Catalano, Catalano Rigging. He has had serious back injuries which has left in a very bad way, he is the type of guy that Identifies himself with his job so I feel really bad for him being in pain all the time…
I actually do know who he is- that’s a shame about his back,
don’t know him personally- but do know his business
oops double post
Matty- your bro inlaw was a stage-line guy collapsible stages.
has a good reputation from what I know.
EXACTLY! Yeah those fucking hydraulic mobile stages, He would let me help him on those, I think I was hurting him more though lol! On top of that he is an awesome drummer, great guy very interesting life.
