Yeah, right there, I liked that. You talked to me with some ounce of respect. I understand where you’re coming from and I apologize for being dick-ish to you.
Not everyone on this board has been resepectful about it though with stuff like “glass-jaw” and “no talent”. It just gets annoying. Sorry for acting like a jerk.
It’s all good…it’s just the internet…no harm done. It’s funny that you mentioned Triumph United…I just ordered a few things from them today.
Keep having faith in “your boy.” I can’t fault you for that. I would do the same with those who are in fact being dicks and talking pure bullshit…BUT with only those types.
Triumph has some pretty sick shit up on their site.
I personally like the Gunslinger shirts they have right now, and I’m currently wearing the “Show No Mercy” Panther one.
I’ll keep my faith. I think he’s got great potential to grow, I see promise in him.
OK scratch all the talk. Look. This is the tease for the next ultimate Fighter. its 8 min long. Rashad Evans and Rampage jackson are the team Coaches and kimbo is one of the contestants. Look at some of the guys and tell me what are his chances.

Kimbo definitely doesn’t have the best technique around but he is one big strong MF and he can fucking move.
Did you check out Marcus Jones in the video. That cat is HUGE. I want to see him mix it up. His kicks alone (if he can kick) could keep you at bay all day.

Not saying the man is a boxer or a MMA. I’m saying he has NATURAL skill with his hands by that I’m saying if someone had caught him as a kid with the natural way he throws “WHO KNOWS” BUT he is a man in his mid 30’s going up agains younger TRAINED guys.
Not that I don’t agree, but it’s very plain that Kimbo has at least some formal training in boxing. He’s got footwork and his punches are tight… that’s generally not something you just pick up in the course of a regular day unless your last name is Mayweather.
I heard from someone he comes from a boxing family, which would make sense.

Irish, I’ll agree he’s not the best all around. You’re right. Some of these dudes just get disrespectful.
Thanks for being cool about it.
I’m all for Kimbo I just want to know what I can use as proof. I’m just not for using Youtube fights as a sign that somebody is a great striker. And I’m asking a serious question. From a fighter, or coach’s standpoint what is it that you see in him?
From a fighter’s view: Kimbo’s got heart, he’s not backing down from challenges. A company put themselves on his shoulders and told him to march and he did.
He’s got some pretty good hand skill after working with Bas and his strength is somewhat disturbing.
He’s also apparently very willing to learn, hence him going to TUF. Most guys who’re main eventing and already (according to mmajunkie.com) a millionaire probably wouldn’t be willing to be schooled on TV, by other fighters.
My views. I could be wrong. It’s what I see though.
I wish him the best then. If there is any sport where you can start in your 30’s it is MMA since it’s still in it’s infancy compared to the others.
Kimbo is there to make what producers call "good TV’
people like drama drawn to it like a moth to light.
He is there to make money- the promoters there to make money off of is image and the dram that may or may not happen, kind of simple really.
I dont get the Hate, but I can not abide nut huggery either.
Wow, what started off as a post showing a funny video, ends up turning into a serious discussion on Kimbo. I bet a good lot of the readers decided to either only read the title or just avoid the video.
Now that it’s gone this way…
I agree with BodyByGame20. Kimbo never did this for fame. This was what he loves to do, and what kept him going… If taking out random challengers on the streets and youtubing the videos kept him alive, then by all means, thats what he had to do. However, it seemed from interviews with Bas that the fame and victory got to his head. He started to not listen to Bas and disregard his advice…
He has a suspect chin though. And in the HW division that is just disastrous. From the fight with Petruzelli, it also shows that he can’t take a hit and recover like he needs to.

Actually he got hit on the temple and eye socket hard enough to snap his head around by a punch he ducked his head forcefully into.
Seth Petruzelli knocked down Bob Sapp too. (later on losing that fight unluckily) All his wins but one by KO. Not bad.

I like the comments like “you fight him,” and “Kimbo Slice would most likely destroy your face with one punch, please exit stage left,” as if the OP had actually made a serious post.
