waaaaa waaaaaa why is kimbo more popular than me?!?!? he gets more money and pussy than i do?!?! fuck him!!! let me go write a song about it and slit my wrists
Okay, you can stop hugging kimbo’s nuts now. we know you have a gay crush on him.
who’s ass is that on your avatar? thats more interesting then all the shit talk on this forum! all these “true” fans of mma are tripping. does anybody know why mma almost died off? because the “true” fan were so few, who could get excited seeing 2 men roll around for hours on end, prior to the rule changes that truly exploded the “mma” as we know it today! quick knock-outs, quick stand ups, almost completely nullifying the brazilian jui-jitsu game, in favor of the striker!
Why? because the “true” fans werent able to pay the bills. mma needed to be changed for the mainstream! shamrock was old mma, no holds barred, this “true” fan endured his hour long hug fest with royce gracie! most of you sob’s, the “true” mma fan of today, wouldnt find that exciting! the art is dead, in favor of athletics and marketability! hats off to senior kimbo! for taking the fast track to fame and fortune! the “true” fan should be saddened, but at the same time rejoicing in the rise of this sport i love, the sport shamrock loves, the sport shamrock spent all his life promoting! my hats off to the old guard, the has beens and dinosaurs i heard them being called in this forum by the “new” “true” fan of mma
Kimbo Slice is a fad and like all fads, he will soon be gone. However, I am glad that he is doing this rather than out on the streets homeless. And if I can get some cheap entertainment out of it, I’m cool with it.
Shamrock, on the other hand, needs to quit. He is too broken up and too old (both in age and in technique) to be doing this anymore. He probably needs the money, but I really don’t want to see him in the cage anymore.
I am afraid that one day he is going to get knocked down and never get up again. Maybe that is what he has planned all along, to go out fighting.
People don’t want to “see Kimbo lose.” They want to see him fight real fighters to see if he can hang(he can’t) or get housed and fade and take the hype with him. Look at Brock Lesnar, he has been doing MMA about as long as Kimbo and has been over-hyped, but he has fought actual fighters and now people give him a chance against Randy. Actually I think a fight with Dan Severn would be good. I bet Dan would win. Having said all that I will still watch Kimbo fight because he’s an interesting person and his fights will be spectacles.

What’s sad is that all of this is overshadowing IMO the “real” main event: Shields vs.Daley. But this is actually a pretty decent fight card over all. I could care less about Kimbo/Shamrock…but of course I will be watching

Ownage. I love how they presented Kimbo’s fighting style as “brawling”… never seen a club teach brawling. Kind of an insult to Rutten. [/quote]
