Kimbo-Shamrock Oct 4

i hope kimbo doesn’t punch ken’s head off his shoulders. but, this is whats going to happen kimbo is waayyyyy too strong for ken to bring the fight to the ground so standup is where the fight is going to take place, and as much hate as kimbo gets he really does have some decent boxing
If Ken could make it to the second round, likely outcomes change dramatically imo. Kimbo has ZERO gas tank.

Too late for that. Time to make some money. Other than getting some decent wins in Pancrase, now of course world renown for admitting to fixing half their fights, Ken was never great to begin with. Any notion of that is a byproduct of UFC marketing.

Ken will fall down the first time he gets tapped lightly, like he did in Cage Rage. I’m hesitant to deem to deem a cooperative work, but I think Ken will take any out he can get at this age. Tito beat any fight out of him that might have been left in their first fight.

Who else have they got lined up for Kimbo? Dan Severn? Mark Kerr? Both of them still fight, so maybe he can slay some more dinosaurs after demolishing Ken.

My money’s on Jake “The Snake” Roberts, with Damien in the cage slithering around while they fight. Roberts by DDT in Rd. 2.

I think Ken could win if it goes to the ground. All he has to do is make it past the first round and Kimbo will be spent. BUT, as others have said, I don’t even think this fight is legit.

do you have a source for the pancrase bouts being fixed???

i only ask cuz i cant picture bas and frank being involved in fixed fights and denying it.

but yea, tito absolutely sapped any kind of fighting spirit or confidence in ken

Do you know them personally? Why would you say this?

This is a really good point.

At Ken’s age, the man doesn’t want to be hit hard in the head. Who can blame him?

So the powers-that-be might not be saying, “Take a dive.” They simply know that it’s likely that one shot that would not legitimately TKO him, will be enough for him to give up.

Or slip the ref a $50 and tell him to call a stop the second Ken gets hit.

I’m looking forward to it from an entertainment POV.

Kimbo will be in the WWE soon, he’s got the look.

Heh, this has got to be the first fight of Shamrock’s career where people are giving him the edge in the cardio arena. Sadly, I don’t think it’ll get far enough into the fight for cardio to be a factor for Kenny “Petey, my heart!” Shamrock

I have to admit to actually wanting to watch this fight though…something about it intrigues me, just because there’s the possiblity that something spectacularly bad may happen.

Still one of the greatest fighter quotes ever. The whole Pride 10 card is off the chain. A must watch.

Kimbo is a sham. Tired of these fixed fights, makes all of MMA look bad and discredits the athletes that work their balls off to win fair fights.

Disgusting.

My thoughts exactly. Elite doesn’t want their poster boy getting his ass kicked by Rogers. Elite is starting to piss me off.

and why do you wanna see kimbo lose so badly?

because he rose to stardom so quickly, bypassed years of hard training, gets paid more than most veterans, is 'baby’ed by a new upcoming promotion, haven’t fought a top 10, got featured on SI, and lives a life of luxury???

god these bitch ass haters

let me teach you something pimpin
hes rich, he makes other people lots of money, makes mma more popular, hes humble, hes around pornstars all day, trained by THE greatest… bas rutten. and if you want a man like that to fail, i cant imagine what your hater ass life is like

I do not care if an obese fuck is made mma champion by a faerie’s wet kiss with no training at all.

I care for MMA and ultimately, Kimbo’s exploits are bad for the sport.

Think with your brain

Kimbo is not an MMA fighter, he got rolled by some Boston cop and now hes in EliteXC (Might as well be WWE with real punches) where hes fighting amateurs and has-beens

I am insulted as someone with genuine interest in the well being of the sport that someone so ruthlessly stupid and arrogant is getting spoonfed fame…

I don’t want to see him lose badly, other than to see some of the nut-huggers get off his jock afterwards. He is good and rose to stardom quickly through his marketability and talent - BUT, he has not fought anyone good yet and showed us this with his last fight. He would lose to Rogers and I think most people know that. He will probably be worth his hype soon though.

Bitch ass haters…Get off his dick or shut your mouth while you’re at it.

What a joke! ken shamrock’s last fight was a loss to a nobody in england. he’s been suffering big losses by KO for a while now. when was the last time shamrock even won a fight? it’s obvious they’re not going to give Kimbo anybody good to fight.
TheBeat2 wrote:

Don’t worry, Elite won’t be around much longer. Chances are they won’t be on CBS again.

I don’t begrudge them for making this fight, it is big money, and really Ken is about the level of fighter Kimbo should be facing at this point. But in no way should a company be banking so much on a prospect like this.
