HAHAHAHAHAHAH, OK, not sure if that is better or Worse. I remember when my brother went into the Army and my mother was nervous because it was at the end of the Vietnam War(conflict my ass). Any one of us would have LOVED to had a chance to be that close to the guy in charge, if for no other reason to express an opinon good or bad.

I understand the whole respect aspect and how we look to the world. But what I can’t get over is this seems to be cool. A kid can’t stay sharp long enough to represent his family to the world in front of his country’s leader and GROWN ups are getting a kick out of it.

Like him don’t like him that is your choice. HE is still the leader of your country. And if this was the 60’s/70’s you can bet your ass that young people along with grown men and women would damn real be paying attention.
If this were the 60’s and 70’s, you can bet that grown adults wouldn’t be laughing at this like an SNL skit.

…which is interesting considering some of the same people laughing seem to be the same ones who want America to return to about the era of the 60’s and 70’s.
I can understand someone not liking the person that has been placed in charge. I have had issues with several past presidents. And it¢??s the American way to voice those disagreements and concerns.

However I see on a daily basis the blatant disrespect people show for the Office. And that is what’s being done when people decide to go and buffoon the Name of OUR and if you are a citizen he is OUR “President” (last name or full name).

Then go walking around like they are proud with all the nick names or little abbreviations of his name they create to show the world how comical they are when all we look like to the world is disrespectful to OURSELVES.

The MAN your disrespecting is NOW in charge of the country that protects them and the people that puts there ass on the line for them to be able to show such disrespect.

Respect the Office even if you don’t the Man.
The problem here 460 is that the President is Supposed to act as a steward not a king. When they start acting like a steward, THEN I will give them the respect they deserve. Don’t ask me to respect someone who Vandalises the seat with thier occupancy of it. If the US people somehow got hoodwinked into electing a hitler type person who treid to enslave the peopel and take over the world, would you be like. Oh, well even though he is a very bad person, HE IS THE PRESIDENT. No I don’t think so.

Someone doesn’t just get respect, they need to earn it. He didn’t earn my vote and he hasn’t so far earned my respect.

V
Hitler…HITLER, wow. You just compared someone to hitler. If you feel that way. You need to do everything in YOUR POWER TO MAKE THE PUBLIC UNDERSTAND YOUR VIEW AND PROTECT THE COUNTRY YOUR FAMILY and whoever else you love.

Now It seems that you picked name calling as your way to make the rest of U.S. see what is going on. You are the enlightned, and since I do not share your view I’m not.

All I am is someone that views you as making what I consider off the wall statements KING-HITLER and expect the world to see them as anything other than childern calling names.

Your feelings I hope are real and your desire to make this country strong is what we need. Your way of going about it to me just seems silly.

I was referencing a hypothetical person, said person would get elected in the future and then try to overextend his power and as an extention the US’s power abroad and start taking over other countries with military force. This hypothetical person would have some things in common with hitler, that is why I made the statement. I would support and respect this person even less than our current or previous president(s).

The role of the president is to head the executive branch, thats law “enforcement” he isn’t supposed to direct policy, make executive orders that apply to anyone other than Law Enfocement. He is also supposed to control the Military WHEN CONGRESS DECLARES WAR. When president after president takes more power and does more than the last, then what we have my friend is a slide to Tyrrany. I do not like this and this is NOT what should be respected about “the office” of president.

We as a people make or take those decisions and we either tolerate it or make a change. By voting not just for one man but an OFFICE and if we don’t like the path they are taking we voice our concerns and make changes.

Instead you have people who don’t see anything pass the one man or the one party. So it becomes a society of US against THEM. And like every other Country that ever was on this planet THAT is where it starts to break apart.

Best post. I’ve been trying to get the same sentiment across for years here. This football team bullshit approach to politics is going to be the downfall of this country, not President Obama.

when I was 21 I met the Prime Minister (Stephen Harper)… the whole time my adrenaline was pumping as I spoke with him and shook his hand. Rudeness aside I’m surprised it was even POSSIBLE for this guy to fall asleep while he was in the presence of the head of state.

And its crazy that people are willing to throw everything away just to be able to stand on the rubble and yell, even if no one is left to hear them.

People were selling tickets to Obama’s speech on craigslist. There was a particularly interesting discussion on the KZ rant and rave section about “ticket scalpers”. It was teh lulz.

This was supposed to be a big fucking deal out here, but it went over pretty quietly. I remember when Obama came to Battle Creek while he was campaigning for president. I thought to myself: “Man, he’s just scrounging for EVERY fucking vote he can get! HA!” Battle Creek is the most hillbilly/wigger/white trash town on the planet.

God I hate Battle Creek. Battle Creek is proof that god hates the human race.

Sorry for derailing, but I did think the video was funny. No big deal, and I’m sure Barry’O isn’t butt hurt about it at all.

Barry’O, the “campaigner-in-chief” in KZ to spread some of the ‘oil of obey’ on the brainless zombies that voted for him.

Hee hee, I made a funny!

That kid better be careful, Obama is looking for some “ass to kick”.

There you go prof X. I bet if it was Bush you would have not posted anything at all. It just shows that Obama is such a joke now. Let it be known that I also disliked Bush and may I add 95 percent of the brothers voted for Nobama. So please stop making excuses to this failure of a President and please tell me your not protecting him based on his darker shade of brown.
By the way it is disrespectful but this is a High School kid. Not a Cadet at Westpoint or a Military member of our Armed Forces. I was one told to go to see Bush speak at our military base, I was not asked. I was the top dog in our company, enlisted wise and they wanted me to go.

What if I think bi-partisanship will be the downfall of this country? What if I believe any of this “meeting in the middle” and “reaching across the isle” will only hurt America? Regardless of what side I (or anyone else for that matter) stand on, the idea that one should sacrifice their beliefs all in the name of bi-partisanship is fucking retarded.

Wouldn’t you agree? Because that is what you’re asking people to do if you’re asking them to work as a team when half the members on the team have it completely fucking wrong (IMO).
