Best post. I’ve been trying to get the same sentiment across for years here. This football team bullshit approach to politics is going to be the downfall of this country, not President Obama.
The partisan crap has been there since essentially the beginning. Washington is really about the only non-partisan president in US history.

Nothing involving the president will be serious anymore, regardless of who holds the office. That ship has sailed, welcome to Idiocracy.

And its crazy that people are willing to throw everything away just to be able to stand on the rubble and yell, even if no one is left to hear them.

What if I think bi-partisanship will be the downfall of this country? What if I believe any of this “meeting in the middle” and “reaching across the isle” will only hurt America? Regardless of what side I (or anyone else for that matter) stand on, the idea that one should sacrifice their beliefs all in the name of bi-partisanship is fucking retarded.

Wouldn’t you agree? Because that is what you’re asking people to do if you’re asking them to work as a team when half the members on the team have it completely fucking wrong (IMO).
Its your right to think that way. But no matter what you think WE are on the same team, wouldn’t you agree?
I’m not sure what the numbers are for republicans vs dems that died during any war are. Nor do I beleive anyone should care. We are U.S Citizens we are on the same team.

You speak of bi-partisansip. I really don’t care about it. Once you give something a title it becomes something to be manipulated into a catch phrase. Like every religion started off with some guy or a group with an idea. Then the people after them turned it into something else and then down the line it becomes MY WAY OR NO WAY.

MY only issue with how you view this is you talk of ABSOLUTES. Like one side is right and the other half of the team is “fucking wrong”. So in the history of the U.S. there can be only one way to think? We should be born into a way of thinking and not deviate from it or even listen to the other side? That can’t be what you believe.

I’m a old fuck. And in my life I only know of a few absolutes:

 1. Zepplin love chicks with big asses
 2. NY pizza is the best
 3. You can’t finish a large steak sandwich.

There you go prof X. I bet if it was Bush you would have not posted anything at all. It just shows that Obama is such a joke now. Let it be known that I also disliked Bush and may I add 95 percent of the brothers voted for Nobama. So please stop making excuses to this failure of a President and please tell me your not protecting him based on his darker shade of brown.
By the way it is disrespectful but this is a High School kid. Not a Cadet at Westpoint or a Military member of our Armed Forces. I was one told to go to see Bush speak at our military base, I was not asked. I was the top dog in our company, enlisted wise and they wanted me to go.
Then you don’t know me at all and should refrain from assuming how I would react. I would react the same as when I was in the military active duty…I would RESPECT THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF and would have made the exact same comments if people were making a joke about some kid falling to sleep behind him on a national stage if the president was willing to speak at the function.

It doesn’t matter if this is a high school kid. The only way this could be excused is if we are talking about a little kid or toddler too young to understand what was going on.

You are the one making this a fucking race issue.
Since when are high school kids suddenly treated like elementary school kids? I would actually hope shit like that would reflect on a college app if possible because that behavior sucked ass.

^ Damn, and I was sure he didn’t finish that steak sub.

Totally agreed…the assumptive post about you was not representative of what you actually posted.

making mountains out of molehills

I bet the kid was so excited and worked up for days beforehand that he crashed when the time finally arrived. I bet the kid ironically fell asleep because he, more than anyone else in that choir, had such a hard-on for Obama. I bet no one else is filled with as much regret about this as him right now.

I’d say the odds of the above are better than the kid being a clueless, careless dunce.

Funny stuff, either way though. Hopefully the kid has a sense of humour and will take the years of abuse ahead of him all in stride – he’s become the unwitting tool of pretty much any political pundit looking to take Obama down a peg, and a lot of people might come to resent him for it.

Yep, definitely another teachable moment.

I didn’t find this funny nor did I care. It’s some kid not even in college yet falling asleep while listening about a subject he most likely does not give a shit about.

Talk about overreacting.

I went to boarding school, and we had to sit through crap like this all the time. The only reason anyone cares that the kid fell asleep is that he did it on camera. I’m frankly pretty amazed that he did it standing up.

Frankly, I’d be fine with a Westpoint, Air Force Academy, or Naval Academy Cadet falling asleep in the same situation. You may say it’s disrespectful, etc. etc.

You want to know what else is disrespectful?
-Taking the flag off of Air force 1
-Letting your wife wear sleeveless and classy outfits in other countries since you don’t understand the culture.
-Not saluting the fallen troops during the memorial day service when your buddy Joe Biden right next to you is.
-Not putting your hand over your heart during the national anthem.
-Thinking you’re the smartest guy in the room at all times.

Nobama can go suck a fat one. He doesn’t deserve to be president, nor is he proving me wrong in that facet.

I would agree. The problem is that if I think half our team is making us lose, I’ll step up and tell them that.

I believe 1 side is wrong 95% of the time. Call me retarded (don’t worry, I’ve been called worse) but I won’t sacrifice what I believe to try what the other side wants when I’m 99% positive it will only makes things worse.

Damn right…Yeah it’s usually BO embarassing the USA on behalf of himself, rather than some kid embarassing the USA.

Bottom line, it’s this kids parents who don’t have their act together enough to give the kid some basic manners.
Interesting…that the fact that this kid now represents “American youth” in general to the rest of the world phases you none…as long as you get to laugh at the president for something.

That sounds downright unpatriotic…but what do I know.
One can still love their country without loving the person who’s running it. I don’t think it necessarily makes him unpatriotic.

And anyone trying to defend this kid probably lacks manners as well, but i have to say that while disgraceful, it is damn hilarious.

Dude you’re still twisting what X if trying to say. No ones saying you have to “love” anyone, you can still love your country without loving whos running it BUT you need to respect that individual.
