ok, i know some of you don’t like the ifbb, so you probably won’t respond. for those of you who do, do you know what’s going on with levrone? i mean, ever since the 2000 olympia i think he has gone downhill. i thought he looked terrible at the arnold. his legs are no where near what they used to be. is he just relying on his trademark delt pose to try and get by? just curious on your opinions.
He’s concentrating a lot more of his band – Full Blown, even though they still suck. He was bigger at the Arnold than at the Olympia, but not nearly as sharp. His 5th place finish was a total gift. He shouldn’t even have made the top 10
Everything I have read suggests that he is starting to have the same attitude toward judging like Shawn Ray and just lacks the heart he used to have. Also, he is seriously considering retiring and pursuing his endeavors with his band “Ful Blown”.
A little about Shawn…I tell 'ya…you either love the guy or hate 'em! I respect him. When he began competing, all the guys he competed with are either 1)dead and/or burned out druggies 2)in jail 3)or in all fairness, moved on to other things. Ray has been the most consistent competitor of all time, AND has been able to make bodybuilding a true, longlasting carreer. In that case, he is truly among a select few.
In Levrone’s case, I think that Bodybuiding is one of those areas that requires a full committment. Less than that, and you’re out. And if you lose a passion for it, forget it…

No ill feelings toward Shawn. We all know, as fans, how the IFBB judging system works. You start to complain or question, and they screw you over, much like has happened to Shawn in the last five plus years. I agree, Levrone has presented better packages than what he displayed at the Arnold and the Olympia. I see Shawn and Levrone as two guys whose physiques show a perfect balance between mass and symmetry, and you could throw Dexter Jackson into that club as well.
screel–i’d have to agree with you on the symetry part. levrone and ray have the most symetrical physiques ever. and yes, jackson is a newcomer with the same type of build. and honestly, i think the only 2 poses that even compare with levrones trademark delt pose is a cutler ab/thigh and a coleman (ripped and not pregnant) most muscular.
Levrone got 3rd place at the last Mr. Olympia. He wasn't too good at the last Arnold, but 5th was a good placing. Chin..Venice is 3000 miles from Md, so I guess your theory of the venice sex cult is way off.
