Keto diets and sperm count

Hey T-Folks,
This may sound like a stupid question, but my wife and I are trying to get pregnant. I was just wondering if anyone knew if keto diets, like T-Dawg, effect sperm production in any way. Thanks for any response in advance.

When i was on a keto diet my loads seemed alot bigger. COuld just be me though.

Wondered that myself. Probably not a lot of studies. I would think you’d be okay as long as your calories were not too low. I’ve also wondered about any effects Androsol, Tribex or Mag-10 would have on sperm levels-my wife and I are trying also (I’m on T-dawg diet with T2 and morning only Androsol.)

I started thinking about the supplements side of this question after I posted it. I would think that Tribex-500 should have either no effect or a positive effect on sperm production. I have no basis for this except that my wife got pregnant really quick the last time when I was taking Tribex-500. As far as the Prohormones, I’m not sure. I did read an article in the archives that talked about how anabolic steroids can lower your sperm count because your body temperature rises and that ends up killing the sperm cells. Which brings me to wonder if MD6 would have any negative effects since it raises your body temperature. Does anyone else know anything about any of these supps? Bill, Cy, anybody…?

Does anyone know of any supps out that that raise sperm counts?

wow both of you trying to get pregnant…i got a question for you though, who’s gonna get you pregnant? i am assuming that you’ll get your own wife pregnant.

Smart ass! I assume you don’t have anything valid to add to our questions.

Vitex and tribulus for u and Vitex for her. those the only supps i can think of for that. Clomid for her but i think that can cause multiple births.

Thanks Eddie. I think we’ll stay away from the Clomid. Don’t need more than one at a time.

I remeber reading a study of Vitamin C having a positive effect on sperm count. Think it may have been in the Life Extension Foundation website. Believe the dosages were in the 1-3 gram range.

Thanks Dave, I’ll keep that in mind.

I read in MuscleMag a few issues back that selenium was better than Vit E for sperm reserves. I dont know if that translates into a bigger sperm count in each load though. But in Hustler, they are advertising these supp like promise to make you “cum like a raging bull”, there secret ingredient is sweedish flower pollen, whatever that is.

There are a few things to help increase sperm count/load size. L-Arginine, zinc, Vitex (or better yet Femaprin from Nature’s Way), and maybe Tribex. Not sure on the tribex, but since the info on Biotest’s site states it works similar if not better than clomid I suspect it will increase load size (I’ve heard Clomid can make you shoot bucket loads). I have some Tribex on order and will report back.

Anyone one on Tribex notice increased loads???

RA - I can’t say I have noticed any volumetric increase in my semen when using Tribex-500. However, one anecdotal observation that I have made is that the last time my wife got pregnant, I was taking Tibex-500 and she was pg within 3 weeks of trying. I don’t know if there is a correlation, but I’m leaning towards believing that there is.

Recent studies indicate that sperm production is unaffected by supplements of any type. Turns out it is toally dependent on friction.
