probably him just getting his pen. I don’t think he is big enough a fool to actually cheat with cameras aimed at him. I dont really like this mud-slinging, we should know better than that. Let the liberals sling their mud, it’s not our thing. We’ll clean up after they’re done, isn’t that what we always do?
In all seriousness, I didn’t realize they had such specific rules on notes, etc.
I thought John Kerry was taking notes with his pen while Bush was talking. I thought nothing of it.
Probably a non-issue, but I thought Kerry was honestly referring to notes most of the night and was thinking Bush should have done the same.
As is, it’s more funny than anything. I don’t think Kerry cheated. Usually when you cheat, you do so to give yourself a big advantage - a quote, a statistic, etc.
Kerry really didn’t explode with a killer quote or stat - if he did cheat, it really didn’t help much.

But I suspect Kerry knew.

Your comment makes sense. But then again, Kerry is a very crafty person. Perhaps he didn’t want to make his cheating too obvious, so he didn’t whip out any heavy duty statistics. He probably just had some of his major lines on it, just to make sure he said them exactly as they were prepared.
Whatever the piece of paper was he took out of his breast pocket, unfolded, and placed on the podium doesn’t really matter. It was a clear violation of the mutually agreed upon rules.
Jeff, that “report” and the entire idea is totally ridiculous, and it is a testament to your own credibility that you’d run with an “article” like that.
I did think I saw a can of whoopass wide open at the Convocation Center that night, however.

Did you look at the high resolution video? That pen was the shape of a 3 by 5 index card.
Of course, if you don’t want to see it, thats okay. Anyways, it’s not important that the liberal candidate possess such a character trait as integrity.
Note: When I open the high resolution video in my Quicktime player, it attempts to play at double size. Just choose movie, and then half size to bringit down to normal.

Cute joke. Can you post a link to the high res video…the links in this thread don’t work for some reason…?
