Pete looks like training is going well. What is the next meet you have planned?
Edit: never mind saw post about meet above. Thats what i get for just reading exercises and numbers…lol

Germanone,
Post above is from beginning of thread, that meet came and went. I am conflicted right now meet wise. There are two APF meets, one if Fargo, one in Chicago, both June 25th. Would like to do either, but especially Chicago one. However career and family might get in the way. I am going to continue training as though I am going to do one at that time, however we shall see.
Otherwise will be looking for late summer/early fall. There is going to be a raw USPA one in September locally, which might be fun, and there will be another APF circa October. Haven’t done a RAWWWWW meet in 3 years now. Could be fun.
30 minutes elliptical early early. Gotta start moving my cardio back to home, in the early a.m. Work is getting considerably busier, which is good, kind of, so will have less opportunity to go to gym over ‘lunch’ to get this done. It was nice sleeping in for awhile.
Having severe cramping in my right (good) leg, hamstrings and calves, for last couple of days. Causing knee pain, not good. Loading up on ibu.
I really enjoy the raw stuff. I did gear from when there was just a marathon suit up to the mid 90’s and again in the 2000’s. It is such a pain in the ass…lol. I am completely raw and probably just stay that way.

I kind of enjoy the pain in the ass of gear. My biggest gripe is it is time consuming. But at the same time, I have little social life outside of lifting, so I might as well spend 3 hours in the gym just to get my bench on, lol.
I do feel that squatting in briefs will prolong my raw gains. Everytime I try to squat raw for a cycle these days my hips get trashed really fast. I do think I might be okay for a raw September meet. In the summer I suffer less joint abuse. Must be a climate thing.
Since this morning right knee has swollen up and walking is painful to get started. Looking forward to an evening of foam roller, liniment, stretching.
Good session tonight. Moved fast, all the lifting done in just over an hour.
DE bench 9 x 3 w/205 and dbl mini, 3 grips
close grip incline 225 x 5, 275 x 5, 325 x 5
dumbell bench with mini around back 110s x 10, 125s x 8
wide pulldowns 215 x 10, 265 x 10, 305 x 10, add mini around top of machine 260 x 8 x 2
reverse pulldowns 3 x 8
laterals 40s x 10, 50s x 10, 60s x 10, 45s x 15
hammer curls 75s x 8, 85s x 8
cable curls some x some
cable extensions some x some
elliptical 25 minutes
got home and my new size 58 Metal Ace Pro Bencher was waiting. Gonna be snug, looking forward to breaking it in.

Getting an MRI and meeting with a doctor in little rock on friday, we will see what damage is done.

Yesterday laid around a lot, back tight, forearms shot, and started to notice I at least strained my pecs when missing my 2nd and third benches.
I did go out and go grocery shopping. Cried a little when my cart was loaded with brown rice, oatmeal, boneless skinless chicken breasts, ground turkey, veggies, and not much else…
This a.m. got up at 5. Found some old and dusty fat burners, popped them, then did 30 minutes elliptical.
P.M. Prowler, 90lb x 40 yards x 10. It was raining out, this sucked. Afterwards did ab wheel, 3 x 10. This sucked too. Actually it all sucked. But needs to be done.
Don’t have any meet on the horizon, but would like something maybe in March or April, so have my eyes peeled.

ummm, not to be a dick, but the title to your thread has nothing to do with your post.[/quote]
So maybe I should be informative here.
How to keep the kids off the lawn:
Step one: build an electric fence around your lawn.
Step two: place a bouncy house on lawn.
Step three: watch as kids try to get over electric fence to get into bouncy house from your deck, drink with umbrella in it firmly in your grip.
Any other suggestions?

Glad to hear you are doing this. How is the pain when just doing daily tasks, like reaching for shit to the side/behind you?

No pain for light things, pain for something heavy or if I “jerk” to pick something up. Mainly just really tight, and my shoulder pops a ton.
30 minutes elliptical. leg still messed up, will see how it goes squatting tonight.

HA HA Now thats a visual, Awesome!
right knee/calve/hamstring very achey, getting out of chairs and walking not as easy it should be, especially after sitting for awhile
still proceeded with squat night
DE style
stretching, foam roll, warm ups x 1000 (seriously, think I did 45-50 minutes of warm ups)
box squats, super loose Metal Pro granny panties, new knee sleeves
325 plus green bands 2 x 2
375 plus green bands 2 x 2
415 plus green bands 2 x 2
465 plus green bands 2 x 2
leg raise 4 x 15
rev hyper 4 x 10
home now, leg is swollen from knee through calve. wtf?
nice work-
roll your foot on a golf ball or your a big guy even pool ball.
roll the outside of your calf your pronials
stick your leg in an ice bucket -im serious and sleep with a pillow propped under it.
Dam Pete what is going on with the leg?
I think I might have over extended when doing Prowler Monday. Or it is a wear and tear thing.
This a.m. did 30 minutes elliptical. Real easy level. Didn’t seem to bother it.
I can do the elliptical, I can box squat. Walking, especially after sitting for awhile, sucks. Unfortunately work entails sitting. Fucking around with my workspace to see if I can get more ergonomical.
The pain started in hamstring and in calve. Now when it gets tight for awhile knee is bothered. Will do best to keep it elevated and ices for next 72 hours, aside from when benching and doing what I gotta do. Hopefully by Monday will be back on track to pull.

It’s amazing how the hamstring can cause so many problems else where. Sometimes my knee just swells (not training related) i get some stim and ice on my hammie and in a few hours swelling is almost gone. Really kind of bizarre. Good luck with it.
Also how do like the forza bench? I assume it is awesome but i have never benched on one, at least that i can remember.
The Forza is pretty damn nice, but I really prefer the Metal Militia bench.
Yeah, people underestimate how crucial the hamstring is. Tonight will be lots of rolling, stretching, then ice, while feet elevated in recliner.
Been a long tough week work wise, looking forward to getting out of here and having a quiet evening with family, and maybe a beverage.
Sometime a little nectar of the gods (or a lot) cures a lot of ailments…lol
Never used a metal militia either, been an er rack guy for a while. One of these days i’ll come across a forza or a metal militia. I bet they are pretty sweet.
