Keep the damn kids off the lawn

gotta love a place that sells chalk at the front desk

raw pulling from the floor worked up to 635 x 1, easy, then 545 x 5, which left me with such a low back pump that I almost went home crying

hack squats 4 plates per side x 10, 3 plates per side x 20

bent rows 225 x 8, 275 x 8 for 3 sets

dumbbell shrugs 4 x 20

leg curls 4 x 10-15

cable abs 5 x 15

prowler 90lb x 40 yrds x 8

some kid asked me if I wrote for Elite. I guess he mistook me for Vinnie?

Well, maybe he has seen pictures of the new leaner Vinnie. Or maybe Pulcinelli(sp)? When I said no he acted like I was lying.

About a year ago I watching some benching videos on Youtube and the most of them were of Vinnie. My then 3.5 year old comes over and says ‘that’s you daddy.’ I was sad.

The next day I watching videos of Efferding. My kid said ‘you look good there daddy’. Took the kid out and bought him three toys and a bunch of candy. While I was unemployed. True story.

To look like Stan Efferding would be spectacular.

Cardio crap:
stepper 25 minutes
elliptical 20 minutes

meanwhile a trainer friend put my wife through the paces with the kettle bells. she’s been upping the intensity, doing more and more heavy stuff (dumbell work, chins, etc). also she has been dipping into my protein and my stimulants. actually she tried to steal a whole bottle of my stimulants.

schedule is mixed up this week, benching tomorrow but today went with family to commercial gym, did the following:

pulldowns, alternating wide and revers grip 8 sets, 10 reps each

face pulls 5 x 15

seated dbell curls 55s x 6, 65s x 6, 75s x 6

machine curls 4 x 12

elliptical 30 minutes

Damn Pete, thats a crap load of weight you are pulling.

Hey Chi-Town, thanks.

Benched with a different crew, usual bb club closed for out of town meet.

Raw warm ups: it was in kilos, can’t remember. Shirt on, working sets 500 to 3board x 2, 600 to 2 board x 2, 660 2board x 2, not sure I have ever tried this so cheap PR.

raw 374 x 6

looking forward to schedule back to normal next week

It’s just a matter of time before she’s outbenching you. Is she hanging out with Strick’s wife by any chance?

Snapper, I think she is getting the deadlift bug first. Drive home tonight: me: so and so’s wife pulled 405 for a double. wife: really? me; yeah, easy. wife: how much does she weigh? me: 130s wife: that is awesome.

Bug is placed, it will grow.

405 for a double is easy for a woman? I definitely gotta hang it up.

DLing. It was my first love. Now I’m loyal to the squat and find that the DL has been terribly unfaithful as of late.

Pete, all I can say is I wish I was you.

Raise your standards. Or dreams.

Nice pressing.

I think my wife would take up - only to keep up with the little guy.

we have a 25lb kettle bell that he tries to pick up all the time.

Yesterday laid around a lot, back tight, forearms shot, and started to notice I at least strained my pecs when missing my 2nd and third benches.

I did go out and go grocery shopping. Cried a little when my cart was loaded with brown rice, oatmeal, boneless skinless chicken breasts, ground turkey, veggies, and not much else…

This a.m. got up at 5. Found some old and dusty fat burners, popped them, then did 30 minutes elliptical.

P.M. Prowler, 90lb x 40 yards x 10. It was raining out, this sucked. Afterwards did ab wheel, 3 x 10. This sucked too. Actually it all sucked. But needs to be done.

Don’t have any meet on the horizon, but would like something maybe in March or April, so have my eyes peeled.

ummm, not to be a dick, but the title to your thread has nothing to do with your post.

then stay off the lawn?

ummm, not to be a dick, but this post in this thread has nothing to do with shit.

wtf.

Anyways, coach, way back when in this thread (or somewhere else) you hinted that you did bodybuilding at one point…you ever compete in it?

EDIT - another question, starting next week, if my shoulder is feeling alright, would it be wise or possible to begin working in 2 and 3 board presses on chest/tri days?

DF yes, and yes. I was always good at getting bigger, but not so good at the last couple of weeks of dieting. Girls, and beer, always came up.

After pulling Thursday, and shirted benching last night, I was really set up to pull successfully tonight. CNS and back were pretty well torched. Got something done though, and ok for being at a gym not used to yet.

Rack pull one pin worked up to 675 x 3, 725 x 1. This was meant to be a triple, but no gas, and bar was warmped and slippery.

GMs 5 x 8

Hack squat 4 x 10

decline sits 4 x 15-20

dumbbell shrugs 4 x 15-20

prowler 90lb x 40 yards x 8. Need to get more plates for prowler.

Warmped? Now thats intense.

Thanks for the quick answer. Shoulder is feeling better each day, I am bangin out better reps on the rehab exercises you gave me, so thats good. It does still remind me that it is still injured when I will absentmindedly try to “jerk” up a heavy dumbbell rather than picking it up.

Warmped, a warm, warped bar. Never heard that one before? Noob.

Missed the board press question. Yeah, start with three boards, pinky on ring, sets of 6-8, but later, after other pump shit, so you won’t be handling as much weight.
