Keep the damn kids off the lawn

I need to feel unmotivated so I can sldl 585x3 and get a lack of stability so I can rev grip bench 425 and have an easy box squat of 605x2. I thought I may catch you some day but I’ve saddly come to know I won’t.

Nice work in here, Pete. My old gym had one of those squat press machines, and I really liked it for single leg work.

Jack, I prefer them for single leg work because then I don’t have to load as many plates. Eco, you’ll pass me by one of these days.

Wow, you really are growing up. Putting on your underoos all by yourself.

Looking forward to the vids.

Snapper, I’m a all growed up:)

Monsterously monsterous lifting dude!!!

That DL looked like a light weight for you. Even with all those plates on there. Nice work!

BTW, we have the same singlet. Well, not THE SAME, but you know what I mean.

Thanks Steely, Snapper, and Jack. I know I left a shit ton of weight behind me in that meet. Some more knowledgeable training partners have placed my raw pull at a ‘should be’ level more in the low to mid 700s. And I agree. I need to break that barrier. But I am happy with the results in that I actually completed both lifts, lol. I have a bad history of bomb outs due to meet day jitters. I have also been classified by training partners as an awesome gym lifter but shitty meet lifter. This was a good step in correcting that.

You are a big (scary big not fat big) boy Pete. You pulled 655 like it was 135. Thanks for the video.

Jebus that was impressive. I needed a nap just from watching the vid. Very freaking impressive.

Its nice to be able to put a face and physique to a log. Not seen one of your videos before. Wow!

What bodyweight do you compete at? (I like to think of lifts in terms of x bodyweight)

Very impressive, what were your 2nd and 3rd attempts?

from that vid, it certainly looks like you could be pulling the 7’s now. VERY impressive

Farmer, usually compete at 275. For various reasons I went 308 for this meet.

Interview, followed an hour later with a job offer, today.

Was so happy decided to try and kill myself in the gym.

Good work in the gym, and great news about the job!

Thanks George and Jack. Have also another opportunity I should know more about tomorrow. To be honest, didn’t really like the last gig, so I wasn’t heart broken about the contract’s end. It was with a great company (Jack, you use their products often, I am guessing) but the group inside I was with had issues. And it was a hefty commute. Market is really good for telecom right now, and I have myself leveraged, for the moment. Learning more about being a hired gun day by day, after ten years of ‘steady’ work with the same company…
