First, PR from the other night:

today was a test to see what I could bench in the worst possible situation (i.e. sick as hell)

Raw warm ups 140 x 15, 230 x 6, 320 x 3, 410 x 1

shirt on 3 board/2board 500 x 2, 2board/1board x 2, full range 630 x 1, 660 x .9, I gripped the bar wrong with left hand, couldn’t lock out at top. 1board 700 x 0, out of gas.

shoulder press 4 x 8

close grip 4 board 410 x 3, 460 x 3

yesterday I did nothing, sinus infection won for the day. popped anitbiotics, saw wife and kids off to the gym, took some codeine, and hit the couch. highlight of the day was when the 8 month old uttered his firt words: ‘dada’, looking at me. he did it several times to confirm the fact.

feeling a nice little bloat from Sunday’s nothing day. I decided to indulge in lots of starchy stuff (pizza, cornbeef hash, stuffing, mash potatoes). It is amazing how quickly this stuff makes me bloat.

Holy crap Pete… I’m gonna save the video as inspiration for my bench days brother… that was simply awesome!

Bunny, glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully will be able to keep throwing some stuff up here. I keep buying cheap camera’s, and usually when I am looking at video on my computer it ain’t got nothing to do with lifting, so we shall see…

sinuses still fubared. breathing sucks, and the amount of stuff being expelled is epic. usually after two days on anitbiotics I am good to go. this seems to be a slower turn around.

today’s work:

DE bench 225 + short monster minis 9 x 3

JM Press 225 x 5, 275 x 5, 315 x 5, 355 x 5

30 degree dbell incline 100s, 110s, 120s x 10

rope down/extension 4 x 15 each

3way laterals 3 x 10 each

elliptical 20 minutes

kept it minimal, shoulder, forearms and elbows feeling beat up from Saturday’s work, and want to be able to hit it hard this Saturday

Did 2 board in the shirt today, worked on staying tight and keeping my arch. Got a PR, thanks for the continuing advice and instruction.

20 minutes elliptical. kept hitting the damn snooze this morning, plus had a pile of kids sleeping on top of me, so didn’t have enough time to get my full 1/2 hour in.
