Looking good mate. I need the number of your waxer
Lol i dont wax or shave, just dont think ive hit pubity yet!
Pretty boring and steady month of training, slow paced, medium volume bodypart split. Nothing major exciting, just plodding along a little unmotivated. Focused on weigted chin ups and got to 5x5 with 30kg which im happy with as not done weighted in a while.
Weight has been sitting steady this past month but seem to be leaning up unintentionally, (i can feel the hate).
I think i may be ready to restart the Neversate routine so will finish off this weeks sessions, maybe test some maxs and then get back on it. Will be a change of pace thats for sure!
Its pretty much monthly check ins at the minute!
Not had the greatest few weeks training, took a week off to complete a garden project. Not sure it counts as a week off as such as i single handedly dug out, loaded into large buckets and carried around 2 tons of soil and worked every evening after work until late.
Finished that and got back training again only to have a dental issues that completely fucked me up! I was like Micheal Jackson on the pain meds and didnt feel like training. So only a couple of sessions here and there over the 3 weeks.
Bsck at it now though and going to really focus on nutrition in the next few months, as that has been the area i have slacked with this year so far.
Finally found the spotter arms that fit my rack
Seated half press is finally back on the menu! Bring on the tricep gainz
Just wanted to add this John Meadows video here and thank @T3hPwnisher for posting it a couple of weeks back. Im not sure how i had not seen it before, but i needed it as i had been stuck in a rut diet wise.
Glad that worked out for you dude! Definitely a classic.
Running out of indoor space but if i can get equipment cheap enough im happy for them to live outside. So purchased this sissy squat bench today for some good quad isolation.
Im playing with the idea of welding some uprights onto it and a loading platform and turning in to a sled/prowler too
Sissy squats on this bench are no joke. This is deffo the quad isolation ive been missing on the home gym!
Been doing them like here, keeping back during the whole movement

Not sure why but video link is just coming up as an image
Did this as my back work tonight, used my t bar row instead of the supported row and finished off traps with my home made rogue handle.
Pretty legit for home-made!
Treated myself to arm night…
Only swaps were a band instead of chains and db preacher curl instead of the machine. Arms are very full and pumped despite a poor days hyrdration, been away in camper and walked around the zoo all day not drinking nearly enough.
Chest tonight.
Db incline
3x12 then 1 set to failure
Flat bb bench
3x8 last set added partials
Dips
3x12
Flat bench pin presses
3x6
Then did a couple of short rounds of battle rope, this weight gain is really catching up with me, was blowing hard and also felt the extra weight at football last night ![]()
Forgot to log legs the other night
100 walking lunges
Back squat 3x8
Romanian deadlift 3x10
Sissy squat 4x12
Then just done tonight the john meadows back session i did last week. Feeling a bit ill this week but felt good during sessions, so just powered through.
Not sure if i have mentioned it much in my log but im a big believer in going into the cold (Wim Hoff) for various physical and mental health benifits. Usually its cold showers but when im anywhere near the sea, an early morning dip can not be beaten, this was 7.00 am on a pretty chilly uk morning.
Best part is i managed to convince my wife and son to join me, my wife is very against the cold! But she absoloulty loved it. There was a stall open on the beach serving hot drinks so sat on the beach with a hot chocolate with that post cold water glow.

Now this is what life is about!
Push
Flat bench
Worked up to a top set of 5 (6 ish sets)
db shoulder press
3x10
high incline db press
2x10
side lateral
3x12
dips
2x failure
pjr pull over
2x8
Really positive changes happening with the physique. Bagels, putting everything inside a wrap, concoction bowl and just generally being more organised is really pushing the scale up.
Is this according to BMI? If so, no worries that thing is for skinny folks or fatty’s. Not for a trained individual at all.
Yeah im just playing, the first time i used them they gave me all types of scientific readings and then called me slightly chubby. I think its just according to my scales being a spiteful little bitch ![]()
Ive not been logging my sessions here but been getting really stuck in with the JP full body.
Low volume per body part per session, high frequency, high intensity. 100% focus on beating the log book whilst keeping form consistant. All things that i find work well for me.
The way JP warms up and his progression model is working a treat.
Still killing it with the diet, body weight is moving upwards at a nice pace and so is strength.
Few downsides. Some exercises are getting difficult to progress with the equipment i have. Pulldown variations being the main ones, may have to find the space for a lat pulldown machine. Im missing some inbetween weight dumbells so jumps are a little big on a couple of exercises.
Another downside is that the sessions are longer than i am used to, which is okay but im just a little conscious of being out in the gym too long and less time in the evening with the wife.
Last downside is setting up and moving equipment is a bit of a ball ache at times, i need to maybe jiggle my exercises around between days so it flows better.
Downsides aside, the results so far have been way worth the odd negative and have convinced/motivated me i should to keep at it.
Convinced and motivated! Just like a beginner all over again.
Brain-washed for gains!
