Do these have handles for the hands or are they feet only sensors?

Either way, they’re crap for accuracy but fun for tracking progress.

It’s getting serious guys, I’ve lost 1% bone mass over night, I’m going to be a floppy pile of slightly chubby jelly by the end of the week!

Just feet sensors, I didnt buy them for the extras just the weight but I guess it’s good to track, who knows I may be closer to 20% than 10%, I dont care like that Bruce lee 8% guy does lol.

Deepwater is too low volume.

Those things are trash, in case you didn’t notice. I used to have a set of ~£100 ones thinking “it might not be accurate, but at least I can track progress”. Then I tried stepping on, taking a reading, step off, drink a glass of water, step back on, watch the reading change.

I paid £18 for this set :see_no_evil:

The weight reading seems okay, the first time you step on them they misread but after that they keep giving the same reading when you get off and go back on.

Slightly chubby killed me though, not that it thinks I am but just that being a somatotype lol

Hmmm… perhaps but you don’t want much volume after the 10 x 10 lol. Honestly compared to your recent workout, it is similar in volume, I would say even more volume.

Honestly if someone finds himself skinny fat I wouldn’t advocate more volume. More high intensity (Deepwater, The Best Damn…, DC, Mountaindog training) or big full body workouts

Plot twist: @kd13 got a prototype version of the scale that just keeps telling you you’re fat as motivation. It was meant to be destroyed after Bruce Lee Kid got one and died at 2% bodyfat.

Yeah sorry @aldebaran I just assume everyone knows I don’t take things too seriously up in here!
It was a joke about deep water, at one point everytime @T3hPwnisher or others recommended 5/3/1 it was met with “5/3/1 is not enough volume”
I just extended the joke to include deep water too.

On a more serious note though, I too like those routines but the main things missing with the “skinny fat” folks is time and consistancy. No matter if your starting from skinny or skinny fat the thing lacking is muscle and that is a slow slow process, made slower by yoyo ing between goals.

@flappinit no the scales destroyed themselves after that kid constantly asking them the same question, they just couldn’t take it anymore.

Along with consistency, there’s the element of time at play. People who end up at skinny fat get there from years, if not decades, of physical neglect. We’re looking at a generation of “inside kids” that never played sports or did any recreational physical activity. When you pair that with awful nutrition, you get skinny fat.

Back in the day, if you overeat, you were at least active, so you got just plain fat and bulky. If you underate and were active, you were skinny. Now we get skinny fat as a 3rd option.

It takes years to f–k your body up that bad: it’ll take years to unf–k it.

They rely on water for the transmission of the signal(s). The only way to use them is to jump on it first thing in the morning every time since that’s the best way to control fluid intake prior to using it.

We have a handheld one that my wife brought home from school so it won’t get stolen. If I can get to sub 12% on that thing then I know I’m lean. That thing is brutal.

Not sure about you or the others, but didn’t realize this until after I developed the body you all see in my videos. I used to think I was getting some muscles back when I was 6’4" and 200 lbs but once I hit 220 I realized I was kidding myself at 200.

I believe that some of our man made foods can impact your hormone profile. It’s the only explanation for high school boys who look like girls. They’re fat and you can tell they never move. But they’re not just fat; they carry their fat like a woman. Their facial features disappear from the fat stored on their face and they become androgynous. I think their diet and lack of movement increases their estrogen (or lowers their T) enough to create that look. It’s a strange phenomenon.

From the very brief amount of reading I’ve done on the subject, there’s a lot at play with hormones in youth, with nutrition definitely being one of the elements. Boys are staying boys longer, while girls are developing at earlier and earlier ages.

Perhaps. When I was a kid I got gyno and was gaining fat like a woman, always had. Everything on my hips, nothing on my belly. I was called a girl. I have zero facial hair, pretty much nothing on my body, and I’ve only been wanting to fuck everything for 2 years. Before that I had no apetite. Probably it’s years of lifting and eating better that slowly turned me into a man and made me gain testosterone lol

There’s the key element. You might’ve been a late bloomer, but I’ve seen the correlation between fat kids and being androgynous (or having a higher ratio of estrogen to test).

I guess now that I think about it, I’ve also seen some super skinny kids that appear to be androgynous. They tend to have long hair, though. I sometimes can’t tell if it’s a skinny under developed girl (less estrogen) or a boy with long hair.

Let me know if you figure out the “why” for this. I have a seven year old daughter and I’d like to put off puberty as long as possible. My wife was a super late bloomer so maybe we have a chance.

Humans are too dumb to be horny until they’re about 22. Can’t be trusted to make good decisions and even then it’s hit and miss.

Thought about it, but I don’t have the money for TRT anyway right now and for quite some time

I genuinely believe this happened to me. Although only having one working testicle probably didnt make my puberty go that smoothly, so it could have been that :rofl:

I’ve always had ridiculously high sex drive and was a pretty aggressive kid/teenager. But i often have slumps when I feel that my hormones crash that in certain are down to the testicles issue. The times I have had my test done for fertility stuff it has been at the upper end of the scale, but I should really get it done when I feel I’m in a slump.

I cringe when i think back to being 130lb and wearing a vest at the gym.

As has been mentioned, the “fat readings” from those types of gadgets are heavily influenced by your hydration levels, from what I understand.

Arnold used to wear shorts to be infuriated by the sight of his puny calves and work at them even harder.
