Can the the average karate black belt girl defeat a buff guy who is bigger than her?
I ask so I can learn the effectiveness of the average dojo training. as well as how tough a trained woman is compared to a body building man. im not just being a douche
This is a pretty dumb question as you have not defined much in your scenario. Black belt from where? How big is the guy? how big is the girl? what are the training philosophies of that dojo (my definition of run of the mill might be very different from yours). Most karate dojos are a HUGE joke and you don’t need to be even a fit guy to take a black belt from there on, poor training in combat is actually more detrimental than not knowing anything. Now if you think that an average gym rat can take on a woman like Gina Carano or another female mma competitior, I think you’ll be in for quite a surprise. Same goes for a female Karate practitioner from a legitimate Kyokushin school (which is full contact).
The guy is 6 foot 3 and bench press 270 weights 215
girl is 5 foot 3 150 pounds
dojo is not full contact
Sounds to me like you have already made up your mind about who is going to win and are setting up the circumstances to match the outcome you want to hear us say. What is the point of this thread?
Lol are you fighting some 5’3 150 lbs. non-full contact karate girl? Otherwise I don’t see the point of your scenario since you are clearly putting things in the guys favor pretty drastically. Even if she was a professionally trained mma fighter that’d still be tough for her at that height/weight, a not full contact dojo she is just basically the same as a not trained girl and I don’t know too many (none trained) women that can take on a man a good foot taller and 65 lbs heavier than them.

She sounds like a round little thing with a big juicy ass. Do you have any pictures or a phone number? More importantly does she have a restraining order against you or anyone associated with you?

If you wanted to know the efficacy of an average dojo why use a woman as an example? and why pair specifically a woman vs a bodybuilding guy? You are adding a whole unnecessary layer to a question as simple as how effective is your average dojo. I really don’t see what this has to do with the dojo practitioner being a woman.
Average dojo (Karate, Tae Kwon Do etc.) is pretty crappy and they cater to kids. Someone wanting to learn martial arts/combat as an adult normally won’t go to those places to begin with (man or woman). Size in martial arts is obviously a big factor (they have weight classes for a reason).

lol I do like thick shortys with a booty. I promise thus thread is not personal or biased. I just have my uneducated opinion. Maybe I should rephrase the question. Can the average black belt girl defeat a buff guy who is bigger than her?

Then to answer your question plainly, the “average” karate dojo in the US today that does not have it’s students engage in at least some full contact/full resistance training is not going to prepare someone very well, from a physical standpoint anyhow, and therefore in a “fight” (which I assume you mean a cage match/duel type of Hollywood fight) between a small female who trains in such a school and a much larger stronger male is going to go to the man.
This is not how most male on female self defense scenarios work out though and it completely discounts mental preparedness, cerebral, verbal, and/or postural self defense tactics, weapons, environment, level of commitment of each person, moral boundries that either might have, etc…
What I mean is that real combat doesn’t usually resemble what you see on tv (be it boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, etc…) and there are so many variables and circumstances that can change the outcome. So in reality your question is a little harder to answer than you might have originally thought and truthfully cannot accurately be answered by anyone on this forum (or anywhere else for that matter) because can’t predict the future.

Yes of course she could.
Step 1: Flirt heavily with said male individual
Step 2: Slip “Mickey” into his drink
Step 3: Wait till it takes effect and then whoop on his drugged up comatose ass
Woman wins.

If she had big boobs and was hot, I wouldn’t be able to hit her.
If she looked like Rosie Odonald, I would hulk smash her to save any more of the human race from having to ever look at her again.

that’s a good intelligent answer. I I guess karate is not THAT much of a game changer. Again I am uneducated in martial arts
Mind set and perhaps willingness/ability to deploy weapons is the game changer in non-scripted, non-competition based violence. Mind set really is what matters. So to answer your question, the right 130lbs girl, against some body builder, might well smash his head in with a rock and not stop pounding 'til he’s no threat to anyone. Most people, male or female, do not have the mind set to fair well in ungoverned violence. No competition based combat in itself equips you to win a mismatched fight against an opponent who may be playing by a separate set of rules (in the case of your example, technique (karate) vs (strength/size)). Doesn’t mean she won’t still fuck him up. One of the things I learned working doors was that it’s amazing how ready women can be to throw down, and to dramatically escalate a situation in levels of violence. Underestimate people at your peril, at least when it comes to violence. A healthy disdain for the cognitive efficiency of most of humanity is probably fairly legitimate.

Great post London. And fantastic closing line.
By the way what was this thread about again? Chicks with juicy asses?
