For Mini and Mimsy (the vid quality is so-so yet the knowledge bombs are dropped):
can I get the cliff notes of that video?
I naively use splenda everyday. 4 packets. 2 in each coffee cup.

Unforunately, Sean doesn’t have any cliff notes…here are some more vids about Splenda from Dr. Mercola:
I didn’t realise that stay-cation meant slacking on the logs (just giving you a hard time).
Just stick with honey and be done with it.
I have been only to Canada in my world travels…
I want to change that.
Do you think anything will actually come out of the how to rebuild it thread?
I was going to write an example of how to upload pics from iPhones that could be incorporated here.
I’m bored and wanted to do a little coding, lol

Come on over to Columbus and take my class, advanced Flash animation with Actionscript. It’s intense.

I worked with some graphic artists back when Flash was just coming out (2000)
I have a homework assignment of trying to run a vm within a vm, lol.
You probably wouldn’t recognize it today. They keep changing, changing, changing the suite of software.
POOF
I are here!
Thank you for keeping this log alive when I was gone!
After a week staycation, I am finally back after a crazy work week, joining a church, dealing with car issues, more crazy work days, and the like. Thank you all for your patience.
You probably are wondering if I am still working out or not. Well, you are in for a surprise. You are invited to look at my comeback video. This is my first video project so please excuse the bad editing…I’m certainly not a black Speilberg. LOL.
Here’s my response when I got to the gym:
Kidding!
Here is the lift summary:
** Zercher Squats - 90 lbs - 5 x 5
** Push Press - 105 lbs - 5 x 5
** Deadlifts - 105 lbs - 5 x 5
P.S. If the vid doesn’t work below, just click on the title of the vid and it will open up in a new window and you can watch.
Btw, here is one example of someone who I would like to learn from. His name is Chase Karnes. He’s a beast.

@2busy - Who knows? I’ll compile the info and send it to Chris Shugart and see what happens.
And here I thought you ran away, lol!
Good work!
Nice work brother… form looking good, nice deep front squats too. ![]()
@2Busy: Thanks!
@Bunny7568: Thank you!
Nice and low on those squats!
for DLs, you need to arch your back a bit more and look ahead when about to lift. Watch carefully your video on Chase when he lifts the farmer’s walk, that’s exactly what I mean.
Ha that vid was fun to look at. When I get back into things I’ll just send you mine to edit. Hmm, I have not done push presses in awhile, watching that makes me miss jerking.

Day In The Life of Kairiki - Recap From Last Week
Personal
Finally got a breather to type this…last week has been a whirlwind. Last Friday our church had a fair on the grounds and it was my duty to taste the fried chicken dinner (y’know…wanted to make sure it wasn’t poisoned at all. wink, wink). After I gorged on the meal, I never realized just how many peeps check out one’s Facebook page. One of the guys I knew in Cincinnati who use to go to church there was ragging on me for eating fried food because I share a lot of healthy articles and the like on my Facebook. He said he would take a picture of me with fried chicken and post on Facebook. I told him that I would tell everyone that the pic was photo-shopped. LOL
The next day I had to take Honey and my daughter to a ladies tea fellowship (our daughter would play with the kids…she’s four). Fortunately, there was a men’s fellowship where we got to shoot guns (I shot two versions of Glocks…sweet), bonded with the fellas there, and ate more copious amounts of food (sloppy joes, chips, and cheese soup followed by sock it to me pudding cake and some strange cheesecake like thingy).
Training
Last Friday, you would have been pleased with me. In spite of getting home late from going to the church fair and Whole Foods to shop. I STILL went to the gym.
-
Zercher Squats - 95 lbs - 5 x 5
-
Incline DB Press - 70 lbs - 5 x 5 (I think, to the best of my knowledge, this is the first time I pressed 70 lbs! S.D.G.!)
-
Meadow Rows - 85 lbs - 5 x 5 (used straps this time…a lot easier grip wise)
Moving on to Saturday workout which is Pre-Hab Day…
SPOILER Alert…I am about to talk about something on a spiritual level (a Christian world-view)…if this is uncomfortable for you, please skip to the log list of exercises done…I won’t be offended. ![]()
After this workout, I realized that I need to have the following attitude toward my training on Pre-Hab Days:
I have been following the Pre-Hab Workout suggestions from the book “The Four Hour Body” and the author suggests to have the workout last 45 minutes. If a person does all of the exercises outlined in the book section, there is NO WAY to get the exercises done in a timely manner.
I realize now that Turkish Get-Ups (TGUs) are the bane of my existence. This exercises challenges every fiber of my being. I took the challenge of KB Gal and upped the weight and still struggled. By struggling, resting, and struggling some more; I realized that I needed to accept that TGUs will need to the core of my workout on Pre-Habs and if I have time left, work on Single Leg Deadlifts (1SDL).
My training philosophy on Pre-Hab is just like the video…if I finish the workout, praise God. If I don’t finish it, praise God. I will keep moving forward and refuse to be discouraged.
With that being typed, here are my stats with failures and all:
(Suppose to do the following protocol: strong side, weak side, strong, weak, weak, weak, weak - 7 sets total)
FAIL-YUL!
-
TGU (30 lbs first set then drop sets by 5 pounds and did only 5 sets…forgot the extra two…sigh)
-
1SDL - 45 lbs - balance is getting better…that’s a victory
Monday
Truth be told, I did not want to work out yet I grab my Hansen Pro Drink (I need to be their sponsor…for real…lol) and hit the gym anyway. As Cav would say, this is even a victory. Because I would be going heavy, I took the time to warm up 30 minutes instead of my usual 15 minutes. This paid HUGE dividends.
-
Z-squats - 100 lbs - 5 x 5 (easy! SDG!) - Notice some numbness in my right forearm…I use a towel on the bar to prevent any damage yet still felt numbness.
-
Incline DB Press - 75 lbs - 5 x 5 (New PR!)
-Superset-
- Reindeers (my term for John Meadow’s “Stretchers”) - 90 lbs - 5 x 5 (The reason why I switched from Meadow Rows is because they are single exercises…I rather stick with compound to save time).
Video Demo:
- Also added 45 lbs Farmer Walk for 1 minute and went on the elliptical machine for 1 minute.
Cooldown and left feeling like a million dollars.
That’s all for now and thanks for your patience with me. ![]()
Ok I know my excuse for not logging for awhile, what’s yours? Also I’ve been drinking less & less of any diet drink, the only thing is I’ve replaced it with wine :-0
