JW's Cacophonic Come back

Good to see the squats in there. Now, a couple more sets and you will have us both covered.

Catching up on you. Been some trying times for you. Funny how something like a finger can lay you low. Good to see you back hitting it.

Thanks Harry and Joe. I have a sneaky suspicion the infection is still there. I’m going to give the antibiotics a few more days.
Skip, I’m going to try and do the same progression on the squats I do with my benching.

Dateline Wednesday: 4:05 am

Squat warm up: 170x20
Floor Press: barx20,135x15, 205x10, 260x6, 315xmiss
Hammer incline: 3x90x8 super set with cable Xover: 3x70x8
Triceps push down: 3x215x8
Treadmill interval: 11 minutes

It pissed me off I missed the 315 floor press. I’m glad I have it documented on video. Guess I need to work on sneaking up on it a bit more. Finished off with more intervals. I was a sweating hawg by the time i left the gym. Workout time: 40 minutes.

JW’s thought: A good compromise leaves everybody mad.

A lot of work for such a short time. Hope that finger straightens out soon. At 4:05 am I’m awake but incoherent. I’m not sure I would be able to stick with it if I had to get my training in that early. Hat’s off to you for that.

Well, it has worked for your bench. No reason to think it won’t be great for the squats as well.
315 will go next time. You were just playing possum.

Great work. on the finger infection, always take the antibiotics the doctor prescribes until you run out to make sure you get the infection licked

so to speak

I was thinking the same thing when you wrote that you were going to give the drugs a few more days. KEEP TAKING THEM. Not finishing the dosage results in the proliferation of antibiotic-resistant infections.

Calling JW, Calling JW…I hope you are not out hunting with your Tahoe again?

No OG. Just taking a ‘deload’ of sorts. Life has kinda whacked me in the balls, more or less.

Deloads are needed. Especially when life kicks you in the nuts. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving Wilson.

Okay…you can have a few days away. This, however, isn’t part of the program.
How are things in the low lands?

I finally pulled my head out of my ass and got to the gym. I don’t know how long my head will stay out of my ass, especially since last night I was up most of the night. Personal issues dominate my head in my assiness. I need to get my shit and a pile and get moving again.

I was kind of pleased with my training. Everything felt heavy, and I wasn’t sure of any weight/ rep scheme I undertook. Brother DOMS has set in… So I guess I achieved my objectives. Now, I need to get back in the gym tomorrow.

JW’s morning thought: Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, “Where have I gone wrong?” Then a voice says to me, “This is going to take more than one night.”

A squat warmup like that would have me stumbling home before the rest of the workout. You’re crazy in an admirable way.

Good to hear from you, Wilson. I hope things settle down for you soon.
Also, nice to see that you numbers don’t seem to have suffered.

Great work, JW, it is good to see you training.

Sometiems the only way to keep moving is to just put your head down and stumble forward for a bit. You’ll get thigns squared away.

Lights on, candle in the window. Be here when you get back. And yeah, 20 squats is a lot at one time.

Quasi conditioning day

Treadmill interval: 13 minutes

My personal life is still in an uproar. Balls still being busted. Started back yet again. This may be the story of my life for a while until I can manage to sort my personal quagmire out.

My bench session was so-so. I wasn’t really happy, but in retrospect it wasn’t a bad session, given my training regime in the last month. I ripped a callous Sunday going my Krocs. So by the time I got around to rack pulls my grip was fried. My damn hands hurt all Sunday even while I was under the house fixing some foundation vents. This morning backplex was fun (dead lift with 185, OHP with 95, OHP partials with 95 and then SLDL with 185). I ran on the treadmill afterwards. I gotta get some cardio in and watch my diet. My pants are getting tighter.

JW’s thought for the day: Every home improvement project I worked on started with ‘I can do it’ and ended with ‘nobody’s gonna see that’.

Hey Man…nice to see you back in these parts! Nice lifting for someone who has been off the beaten path for a little while. And the morning thought made me made laugh like I was looking in the mirror. Hope your situation gets straight soon…Hang in there!
