Justice for Peanut

Right Man’s Burden.

Anime…Japanese classic

It didn’t include either of us.

So it is gay porn.

I know you can make vague assertions all day, but can you state what your political beliefs are right now?

I would call myself a liberal free market capitalist who favors means-tested social welfare that can be sustainably supported by the tax base and and minimal government interference in things like sexuality and religion. The social welfare ideas only work halfway decent with a sensible immigration policy that’s not attracting more welfare program recipients. Immigration policy is of critical importance if social welfare programs are to be in the public interest.

I’m a 1990’s liberal in a very broad sense. I can get on board with legalizing pot, striking sodomy laws from the books, and safe, legal and rare abortions. I can’t get on board with legalizing shooting fentanyl in the park where children should be playing, enforcing transgender ideology in public schools, and abortion on-demand in all circumstances.

In 2024 I’m a MAGA republican, even though I’m still not an actual Republican party member. Whatever policy differences I have with the platform pale in comparison to the concerns I have about Democrats in 2024.

So, what, exactly, do you believe?

Indeed

This is a good idea - I’d be interested to hear what people have to say about their political ideology. Maybe a new thread would be better though.

We’re here in the Peanut thread that I started for now, but I agree that this would be a useful topic for the broader meathead community to explore our thoughts on. I will make a political ideology thread whenever I get around to collecting my thoughts for an initial post.

A bit of Social Darwinism, a dash of Liberal, and sprinkle in some conservative

You get……

A human

You get a human no matter what political ideology the person has.

Not everyone shares this belief of mine, which is how you end up with gulags.

I really don’t have any in the usual sense of the term. I guess I believe in classical liberal values but when it comes to government, I believe it’s a necessary evil (thank you Thomas Paine) that should have one principle: do what’s best, unencumbered by any ideology, relying on reason. And it’s do what’s best for the people. Americans are not consumers, voters or workers; they’re human beings. Their value shouldn’t be based on what one can squeeze out of them.

You forgot, kill whitey.

Or ghettos.

Someone always needs to be at the bottom for this system, it’s crazy.

99% chance I benefit from third world countries with crappy labor conditions.

And if there were no third world nations, we’d create some.

Well, at least you are honest that you can’t pin your own ideology down.

As far as the ghettos, I am coming to understand how they take shape in the first place as I am living in a city where they are emerging. When I moved here this was an exceptionally safe American college town. This commoditization of poverty, dysfunction and despair has a very, very important element to it.

It is a massively successful way for Democrats to entrench themselves. It is a proven method to achieve very high levels of control and then realize all of the personal gain that results from it.

The City of Chicago presents ample evidence for this, as do many other Democrat strongholds.

Which is?

The next sentence I wrote in the following paragraph.

What kind of personal gain?

Republicans are for personal gain too.

Can you please then elaborate on your belief that religion, and specifically western religion, is the crux of existence as you’ve discussed in other threads?
