Just Started Cheat To Lose Diet

… And I just realised that I’ve been grossly undereating lately! I’m 6’‘2’, 225 pounds and about 14 % bodyfat. With those numbers, using the macro. calculator that Joel provides, I’m supposed to eat 48 gr. of proteins and 24 gr. of fat by meal. I just made an omelet with that much fat and proteins and OH MY GOD it’s a monster! It’s huge! I don’t know if I’ll be able to eat all this 5 times a day…

Do you think I may gain weight on this diet, considering the fact that I’ve been undereating for the past month or so?

Do you think there might be an error with the calculator?

I really like the concept though. And I started right on the core phase because I was undereating (dieting) before.

where is this from? please link.

the huge undereat will actually stop any fat loss (your body is in starvation aka hoard fat mode)

so dont think of it in relative terms - yes you will be eating 1000 calories or so more a day, but this will be taking you close to your matainence level of calories( and provided your food is all the right stuff - you will start to use fat for energy as long as you are in a calorie deficit).

over all you will feel heavier and a little uncomfortable for a little while,

but eventually you will find yourself never hungry and this helps with stopping any cheating.

also you will be giving your body the fuel it needs which will help you intensify your workouts and build muscle (depending on exactly what your workout/nutrition habits are)

not my best worded answer but im at work and my boss will be back soon!

What do you mean, the calculator? Joel will give you one, or ask someone who has it. I think you should read the book first though.

If you have really been undereating for a long time, you should not jump right into the diet. It will not work. Give yourself a few cheat days in a row, and then start with the break-in phase. They should be moderate cheat days, don’t bury yourself in ice cream and eat your way out, but be hypercaloric, and get plenty of carbs. The break-in phase is the most effective part of the diet, but you need to have high leptin levels for it to work.
