According to the diet guidelines, I’m in the three scoop category. Is there enough Metabolic Drive in the kit to make it through the diet?
Do lower scoop categories just end up with leftover drive or do I need to buy an additional bag?

I’m excited to see you give this a go!
I’m going to show my work, in case I get my math wrong you can catch me:
The diet is 28 days, 4 shakes a day. If you’re not doing the Surge Workout Fuel option, each of those shakes is 3 scoops daily (for you).
So that’s 4 x 3 = 12 scoops per day.
12 scoops x 28 days = 336 scoops total.
Each bag of Metabolic Drive is 30 scoops. You get 8 bags.
8 bags x 30 scoops each = 240 scoops.
In your case, you would be 336 - 240 = 96 scoops, or about 3 bags, short.
So I believe the kit was based on the 2 scoop version (which is what I did).
If you are doing the Surge Workout Fuel switch for one of the shakes (training days), and training 4 times a week, that would take care of:
4 x 3 = 12 scoops per week x 4 weeks = 48 scoops.
Now you’re about 1.5 bags of Metabolic Drive short.
How much do you weigh? You’ll get a feel for what works for you in that first week, I think. You got this!
The math makes sense. I was hoping I was missing something with the kit not matching instructions. Still proceeding with the diet though.
I’m going to need three scoops for sure. I’m 260 right now with a goal weight of 230. I may adjust and go lower, but 225 or so was always my sweet spot, give or take.
I lift 4x per week (currently Westside Conjugate) and do cardio 3. Will add the recommended walks for 7.
I expect to be halfway there or a little better in 30 days at 3 scoops. I already know if I go lower than three I’ll fail.
The guys I’m training with and I have a mock meet coming up on August 24th too, so I want to at least have a decent showing as I prep for the real one in November. But I’m tired of the inner tube I’ve developed so happy to stack goals at this time, especially if I’m dropping weight classes.
That’s awesome all around, man. Really cool to hear you know your failure points and are not going to sabotage yourself. What kind of lifts are you looking to hit in August? I’d imagine that will drive November
I’m conservatively aiming for 1300 in August. I’d like 1500 by November at 230. I’m confident I can do a 10lb cut for weigh in (compete at 220) with a history of wrestling.
I may do it again next year and who knows what that will look like. I always lifted for a specific sport or two, then just to be in shape in general, so I’m curious to see what happens with strength itself as the sole focus. 40 years old, 6 feet on the dot.
Short back story is I’m coming back to the gym after a major accident with surgeries, a replaced elbow and a year of physical therapy/rehab.
This will be first meet. I’m doing it because I thrive in a team environment which helps as I get back to normal, and I’m learning a lot of technique as some of these guys are very serious, nationally ranked lifters.
Awesome! This will be fun to follow along. Good luck and stay tight on here - it helps when you get hungry that first week especially
Will do man, thanks.
