I was just doing dumbell shoulder presses, on my sixth rep i came down and heard a crack and had to immediatly drop the weight. I have pain down my arm and it is hard for me to make a shoulder press movement and a lateral raise movement.
I do not believe it is a dislocated shoulder, as ive done this before and it didnt feel nearly the same.
That crack was a tear…sad to say you will need an MRI, and have to take some time off. Dont try to work through this injury. I say make a doctors appointment for as soon as possible. Until then ice it down hardcore to bring down swelling. If you have ever played baseball, try to ice it down as if you hurt it throwing something. Take a giant bag of ice, 1 ace bandage, and a t-shirt to place in between the ice pack and your skin. Strap that bad boy onto your shoulder and ice it until 5 minutes after it has numbed. Aleve or anything that reduces swelling would also be good… Good luck man, wish you the best
