Just Got my V-Diet Kit, Workout Selection?

I plan on starting it June 4th, the day after my next powerlifting meet. I want to take a bit of a break from powerlifting. I love it and I’m the strongest I’ve ever been in my life, however I’m feeling burned out. I always feel beat up and I’ve put on a lot of fluff lately. I’m unhappy with my physique and I’ve been looking to jump start the process, so here we are.

I do have a question though - I realize that I’m going to be in a massive caloric deficit and it will be counterproductive to the title of the program I want to do, however, would the four weeks to bigger legs program be feasible while on this diet? I’ve done this program before and I loved it. I feel like it would be intense enough to maximize my fat loss and prevent too much strength and muscle loss. What do you think?

If we look into the research, a general theme emerges: always lift weights while dieting for fat loss (for muscle and strength retention, metabolism, keeping the fat off, etc.). The details don’t seem to matter much. So if you enjoy that program, go for it… with managed expectations. Christian Thibaudeau often recommends a low-volume approach too when the goal is fat loss, so keep that in mind.

Good article here too:

Ditto what @Chris_Shugart said. One mindset recommendation: just don’t get your feelings hurt if/ when your training weights go down.
