Been a game changer for me man. I’ve noticed a direct carry-over to my free squat too so I have zero reservations about the decision.
They’re just going to replace squats for a while. Nothing feels good when I squat so I’m just going to get away from them. I need to work on my flexibility - chiro said my hamstrings are good but my glutes are tight. Tight hip flexors and glutes can’t be good for much of anything.
I’ll have 2 beers and a hot dog please
The flip side of forgiveness/mercy is justice. God is more forgiving than any person, and he’s also more just, which is something it seems the modern church fails to inform us about.
I don’t have an answer for you beyond what you said - the world is evil, and justice is not being done as it should. It will be though. Hold onto Jesus’ words - “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
I’ll have those as well if you’re buying darling ![]()
I remember you saying at some point you’re a Taysom Hill fan. I heard the best description for him on the radio yesterday: “promiscuous Tebow”. About died laughing.
If that’s the case then why are all the BLM people so mad that Tebow might get a shot at tight end?
“Kaepernick is being bullied.”
“People just don’t like him because he shed light on injustice.” (false)
And then someone posted a photo of Kap kneeling and Tebow kneeling. One kneeled to pray during pregame. The other was the only asshole kneeling during the National Anthem. But, yeah, those are probably the same.
And they’re partly right - I don’t like Kap and don’t want to see him play. Unfortunately, he’s still a millionaire thanks to Nike and other virtue signaling sponsors. Wonder why they don’t sponsor Christianity and throw some money at Tebow??? ![]()
I can’t imagine Christianity needs any sort of sponsorship when it has the most powerful backing in all of existence.
It needs to be promoted but it’s censored and shunned. Tebow was forced to stop wearing eye black that said John 3:16.
Robert Griffin III was forced to turn his shirt inside out for a press conference because it said “Know Jesus. Know Peace.”
Ah. I see promotion different from sponsorship. That’s my misunderstanding
It could be the same thing. Kap is sponsored by Nike but they won’t tell you it’s because of what he’s done to promote anti-cop sentiment. They support it, but that wasn’t the reason he got the initial deal.
Someone could do the same thing with Tebow and then put out Christian ads and apparel. But you won’t see Nike shirts with “John 3:16” on them.
In my mind, sponsorship is about providing stuff. Typically money, but sometimes merchandise. Promotion is more about increasing accessibility, which can RESULT in receiving more stuff, but it’s an indirect effect.
The part of sponsorship that I’m thinking of is the effect the sponsored person has on the sponsoring company. In this scenario, the athlete gets money. The athlete then wears something made by the company. The company then uses the athlete’s image and reputation to sell that product.
In this case, the athlete could/would have a custom item made for them that captures their feelings/opinions/beliefs and then the company sells that item at a premium to the public. For Tebow, it could be a shirt or the sticker version of eye black with John 3:16 on it. For Kap, it could be his anti-cop socks.
I don’t really know where I’m going with this LOL
I guess I feel like Nike has adopted Kaepernick’s movement as their own. They don’t put out anti-cop stuff but they support the anti-cop groups and promote the message of racial injustice everywhere. I’d like to see a company do the same thing with someone like RG3 or Tebow. Adopt and help spread their message about Jesus.
But Uyghur persecution is A-okay!

@Frank_C
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I get the feeling that Christian values are being lost today and it doesn’t feel right.
I’m not a Christian and can understand the skepticism that a higher power exists, but it also doesn’t make sense why we can’t acknowledge the tremendous positives and be respectful.
Anything that sticks around for thousands of years,by default, probably has a lot of value IMO
I don’t want to derail this log too far, but this perspective is very dangerous.
Racism has stuck around for thousands of years. Slavery the same. Ethnic cleansing. Witch hunting/burnings. Blatant misogyny. Etc etc.
I dig what’s in the Bible. It says lots of good things. It’s longevity is not where it’s value is.
Good point
I must admit, I did not expect a funny about a gadget player to take this turn haha.
I’m probably ruining your intent with this, but you might have to explain this one to me. I Googled it and the results are about a minority ethnic group in China that is not being treated well.
I just can’t wrap my brain around treating someone poorly because of anything other than being a jerk. I give everyone a chance. Like MLK said - judged by character and not the color of skin (or religion, ethnicity, background, etc).
I’ve studied the alleged racial issues in the US and there are mathematical discrepancies, but no answers. I can only defend my city and my agency and I haven’t seen any unfairness.
You are correct. If people followed the 10 Commandments then we’d all be better off. Christian or atheist, there’s nothing bad about honoring your parents, not stealing, not coveting your neighbor’s wife, etc.
I kind of think this needs to be renamed prejudices. Unfortunately, people have been taught to hate their fellow man since the beginning of time. Catholic v Protestant. Christian v Muslim. Black v White. Tribe v Tribe.
It’s the human factor. Humans naturally suck. We have to be taught how to be good. That’s why kids who get ignored my their parents end up in jail or dead. They act “naturally” which is to be selfish and violent.
