Just. Don't. Suck (Part 1)

I didn’t want to cheat and flex but still claim I was relaxed. I can feel that belly jiggling when I run

Onward and upward! 240 in the next couple months and then hopefully 250. 247 is my all time high.

250 might have to wait a bit though. I have a feeling that my CrossFit experiment will burn some fat off of me.

Of course. Occasionally I’ll actually get out of the car to eat, but 90% of the time I just stay in the car. Sadly, I’m used to eating cold food. I can even be close to a microwave and I still won’t warm my food up just out of habit.

If it is room temp I’m all good. No nuking needed.

Mine’s usually cold. My lunchbox has three ice packs. A small one on top and bottom and a larger one on the door. Food stays cold all shift.

Nice. My lunchbox is an used plastic sack from the store with my containers in it. I throw it into my drawer in the morning and pull it out and grab a disposable fork.

This is what I’m working with… I posted a picture of a smaller one a while back. It was the Expedition 300 but I tried to pack my lunch and found it to be too small so I sent it back and bought the 500 (3 shelves vs 5 shelves). You need to step up your lunchbox game, Hog! Your meal prep is already at professional status; you just need a lunchbox worthy to carry your meals

Getting ready for next week today…

Woke at 237.2 and late for work. F!

I think the weight is due to eating a big plate of brisket, potatoes, and green beans later than usual.

I’m not sure if I’ll get to train today. It’s quiet now so I’d normally be at the gym; however, we have 7 officers on duty. Last night an officer was killed off duty while riding his motorcycle. One of our officers is at the coroners office with his body. My Lt is in today which is abnormal. We have other officers at the station with my Sgt. I’m not sure what they’re doing but at the moment we have two people available for calls. And that’s how many we send to each call, two. Even with everyone available we can only cover three calls at a time. Second shift will only have two or three more people because their staffing is horrible. Between the two shifts we’ll have enough officers to fill one shift.

I’ll try to get to the gym later but I’m not holding my breath. I don’t think it’ll affect me much because I can get the work in tomorrow. I’ll still be following the plan of never training more than two days in a row or having two days off in a row.

Woke at 238.4 lbs. What? I’m not sure what’s going on because I haven’t been tracking my food. I would’ve guessed I was under my calories yesterday.

I didn’t get to lift yesterday. As I suspected, work sucked. Hopefully today is better. I’m hoping to sneak in my upper body workout this morning before we get busy.

Well, we received more bad news this morning.

One of my co-workers was riding his motorcycle off duty Friday evening with his 10 year old son on the back. A drunk driver ran a stop sign and the motorcycle hit the driver’s door of the pickup. This occurred in the county and both roads have 55 mph speed limits. My co-worker was killed instantly due to the trauma to his chest. The coroner said all but two ribs were broken. His 10 year old son was on life support until last night. They did a follow-up CT scan and there was no brain activity and the poor wife/mother had to make the decision to let him die. He passed away shortly after midnight.

The driver of the truck was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter while DUI, aggravated battery while DUI, and , of course, DUI. I’m sure the charges will be amended tomorrow morning to make it two counts of involuntary manslaughter while DUI. It doesn’t matter. It won’t bring them back.

If you’re a praying person then remember Ashley (wife/mother) and Madison (daughter/sister) and ask for comfort and peace during this time.

Shit man
That’s about all I can say to this, really unfortunate. It’ll take time to get over it, but eventually it’ll happen. I hope the best for all of you.

Thanks, @danteism.

I was feeling pretty down earlier but I was able to hit the gym and get some iron therapy. I’m feeling much better now. It still hits me pretty hard when I think about the officer’s family and what they lost.

That is terrible, my condolences to the family and you.

OH MY GOODNESS!! I am so sorry! I will absolutely say a prayer for everyone. It hits so hard thinking how short a life can be. I always assume I will pass when I am a lot older but we just never know or want to think about it. I wish there is something I could do or send or something :pensive:
