How do you check your various types of shoulder strength at PT? Is there a machine or something? Just curious.
She uses one of these. I push against it and it gives a reading of force in pounds. It’s an isometric test.
Is this a good or bad thing?

You’ve done a lot of different stuff workout wise and haven’t been complaining much if any at all for a long time. So I figure it’s as fine as it’ll be.
I guess you have to avoid certain movements?
And the hip how about that?
The last remaining issues with my shoulder is tightness and the imbalance between internal and external rotation. I’ll keep working on that on my own but no more official PT sessions.
The hip is doing good. RFESS and occasional foam rolling seem to keep it happy.

Took 53 minutes for the lifting. Better session than last week but still not great. I’m really not enjoying my pull day after power cleans. Incline DB rows aren’t perfect because my arms are a bit too long, but it’s the only chest supported exercise I can think of for my home gym.
Have you tried the moving blackburns? Could you manage that? Don’t focus on the full extension if it hurts, just comfortable ROM and have that as a warmup to anything involving upper body work. They made such a crazy difference when my shoulder used to pop out of the joint.
It’s quite difficult to resist adding weight but I’ll be throwing around two plates again soon enough.

I tried something different tonight. I ate a little dinner (poor food choices) and watched a movie with the kids. I trained when they went to bed at 8pm. I’m not sure how to fix all this, but I don’t like training in the evening. I can get up early but I’m not doing squats or deads right after I wake up. I don’t want to bring the virus home so I’m paranoid about coming home during my shift. Something has to give…
Wear a full-body breakaway cop uniform. That way you can rip it off in one smooth movement to reveal super short gym shorts and a tank top that says “diesel”, “alpha”, or “sup, bro”, run into your house and do a thousand curls, run back out, button back up the breakaway uniform, slide across your newly waxed cop car hood, jump into the car through the open window, throw the car in reverse and peel out of your neighborhood with the sirens on.

You’re right, a thousand curls isn’t nearly enough arm work.
Well, for starters my curl workout from yesterday only had 37 reps. I think obtaining increasing to 1000 is a bit aggressive.
More importantly, who the hell is going to wash and wax my car?
I’m pretty much good with everything else…except the name brand stuff. I’ll have to do my own screen printing or something.
