Just. Don't. Suck (Part 1)

Aw man, I thiught it was just a discussion, haha.

There’s an option to add it to the membership and it’s about $13/month for one kid and $18 for two or more. Without it, it’s $6/hr. I can add it back at any time but you have to cancel in advance. I canceled it last month but it didn’t take effect until Oct 15th. Go figure; here I am a week later needing it.

This is my conclusion, too. Feels better and works great. If I can build up to repping the 100s someday then surely I’ll have a respectable chest and shoulders.

There you go messing with me again!

So my thoughts are to keep my main lifts more traditional, then just round all my accessories out in one giant set.
Ie.
Explosive movement
Lower body main movement
Upper body main movement
Giant set: 3/4 assistance exercises

The assistance would be stuff that relied on MMC a lot more so weights used would be absolutely secondary

If you have the equipment then I think it’s a great way to train. I was doing full body and wasn’t loving it. I’m supersetting everything on upper body day and it’s going well.

So, you prefer giant sets for upper body days?

Final day of triples. I’m going back to 5s for lower body and I’ll stick to 8s for upper body. I’ll do that for three weeks and then drop back to 3s for lower body and 5s for upper body. I’ll just keep alternating back and forth with those rep schemes until I decide I need to change.

Sorry, forgot to record my final set of RFESS.

I’ve settled in to just doing two exercises at a time. But I don’t really like doing anything besides resting between sets of leg training.

Me too. Especially as I’m likely to introduce some old school breathing squats. The only thing I’m supersetting with them is floor push aways.

Depending on how these are performed, they could be considered burpees.

@dagill2 superset wisely and it’s not a big deal and saves a lot of time

I’m supersetting 4 sets of squats with abs.
Bench and OHP with rows or pull ups.

DL is a bit taxing but I’d do abs as well.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY
My daughter’s class took a field trip to the fire station. I tagged along and we walked from the school to the station and back. She asked me to stay for lunch so I sat in the lunchroom with her and she skipped recess to spend time with me. I definitely need to go visit her more often. I really had no idea how excited she would be to see me.

These are the best times of your life brother. Go as often as you can. Kids are excited to “show off” their daddy

Well this is heartwarming. Take advantage of it while you can. Sadly, not every parent can say this

@Frank_C sorry I’m late, but huge congratulations! Very glad to see you getting what you’ve worked for.

@mortdk that’s some dark stuff; I hope you’re doing as well as you can with it.

I miss those days. My daughter would be totally embarrassed if I showed up for 10th grade lunch lol

I’m going to go back and there’s a good chance I’ll be in uniform next time. She’ll love it now, but not in high school!

All the more reason to do it. Isn’t embarrassing our kids our no.1 role?
