The honor system. I don’t care to take the time to meticulously go through everyone’s plan and then check to see if they’ve deviated. We’re not competing for anything so there’s no good reason to lie about sticking to your plan.
I think you’ll find we’re all winners here.
I’ll get the participation medals ready.
That makes sense to me. I honestly wasn’t looking forward to the idea of trying to keep track of everything.
Just for the record, I have voted myself most unlikely to succed😉

Running, abs, and rehab is on the menu this morning. Everyone in the house is sick. My daughter is congested. My son is headed to the doctor for a possible respiratory infection. And my wife and I have sore throats and the early stages of a cold.
That sounds miserable. Hope everybody gets over it soon.
Ouch!
You going to take some time off or train through it?
I just have a bit of drainage for now. I’m hopeful it doesn’t progress but I won’t be surprised if it does.
Well, I finally started a blog. First post is on averagejohncoaching . blogspot . com
Hey, @isdatnutty, here’s my breakfast. I wonder how long it’ll stick with me… I ate two small cube steaks while my bagel toasted and then i decided to have some breakfast burritos. I added spinach so I got about four calories of veggies. I like this big meal thing.
Now that is a breakfast!!!
That’s a big breakfast, now hold on to it until evening.
btw couldn’t find your blog,
Looking forward to it
Love this point and that mindset. It’s never “live like you were dying” - but sometimes getting close to that line makes today a lot better.
I have a friend (more an acquaintance, but we’ve done a fair bit of work together) who was part of that rugby team that crashed in the Andes mountains and had to survive by eating the remains of those who didn’t make it (which included his mother and sister).
He was one of the two guys who finally hiked out and got the chopper and rescued everyone.
He talks not so much about “today” - but talks about saying what you need to say and doing what you need to do - in your living years. Same kind of message.
Makes the small stuff we let bother us seem kind of silly.
Go kick some ass today!
You have to literally put the URL into your browser. Google can’t find it yet, I assume it’s too new.
@Frank_C Looking forward to the next one. If you could time it the same time as @T3hPwnishers every week, that would be awesome.
@dagill2 covered it.
That’s going to depend on when my brain decides to organize some thoughts.
I was mostly joking, although many people, including T3hpwnisher have commented that making a deadline forces you to organise your thoughts and commit to something.
Cardio
2 LAP DYNAMIC WARM UP
RUNNING
3 laps of running the straightaway, walking the curve. Picked up the pace today and shaved about four seconds off each run.
Walk 1 lap.
Treadmill - run 0.5 mile in 3:20, rest/walk 3:20, repeat. I messed up the rest and got more than 3:20. I hit pause for a bit when I jumped off at the half mile mark.
The treadmill forces me to keep going when I’d quit on flat ground. That second half mile was rough. I actually intended to run an eight minute mile today, but the warm up and fast runs revealed that my legs were dead. I’m not sure if I took the easier option or not.
ABS
Cable Twist + Band Twist
90 x 6 + 12 fast twists with bands x 2 sets
Lying Leg Raise + Rev Crunch x 15, 10
I did PT stuff between sets of abs.
Great workout!
a mix I think, running half the distance is easier, but at a much higher pace 6:40 pace is quite awesome, so overall I think you worked your legs and heart quite hard.
Well done J.
EDIT found the blog. Hope you’ll get a lot of followers
