Just Curious Where I Stand


I’ve been lifting for four years now but not very interested in competing. I do however like to keep a good solid physique. My bench max is 315 and squat is 275 but working to get stronger. Interested in what the big guys think. How can I improve? Keep in mind I’m an ectomroph

You can bench 315?
You can only squat 275?
That ratio is crazy.

I’m actually surprised your body let you get strong in those ways.

Keep worked the lower body. Squats and deadlifts rule, and will help you build gobs of muscle.

Watch what you eat, if you haven’t thought about it already. Worry about your diet changing first.
Eat until you are full, not satisfied.

Need some details before we can suggest improvements.

You need to bring up your lower half if you only squat 275. It appears you only care about your upper body considering the solo pic. Quit working strictly those muscles you can see and start working on balance and functionality.

Why does everyone post what body type they are? I do not think anyone in T-Nation ever cared about what body type they were, but they just used what got them the best results.

Also, squats are now your best friend. Never let you body be that uneven.

Ah I got that.

Top half looks good to me, but I’d like a full body shot so I can see what a guy who benches more than he squats by a lot looks like.

Hmmm? That’s just what I was going to write; especially legs. Again, this isn’t a rate my upper (front) body forum! No rating until better pics are posted.

Thanks all for the responses. I never really thought about full body shots but I’ll post some up. Appreciate the critique. Yeah I need to definatly do some full squats and work on my dead lifts a bit more.

My diet consists of five to six meals a day with 50 grams of protein with each meal.

I normally eat:
meal 1 six eggs, 4 bread slices with orange juice.

meal 2 tyson chicken pouch (50grams of protein), canned fruit, four bread slices

meal 3 protein drink

meal 4 chicken breast, vegetables, bread

meal 5 tuna pouch, vegetables

meal 6 protein drink

I try to keep my diet consistant so it doesn’t sway too much, I’ve been cheating alot lately so I’m sure I lost some defintion as a result of putting on more fat but that’s life. Again any help with the diet or anything would be appreciated.

I agree with the others; you could squat more at a 1rm, your legs look like they could take it at 200lbs. Looks good, on the right track.
