Yeah, I really have no issue with steroids, and I’d be open to taking them if I ever “needed” to, but 1). I haven’t accomplished all I can (or anywhere near it) with my training and diet so I don’t think I have any reason to take them and 2). I’D HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL I’M DOING! I would be terrified of injecting stuff into my body without really know what I’m doing. Same way I feel about meth/heroin users - it’s a different substance but how are you comfortable shooting up with something like that? Again, no issue with others doing it, but I don’t think I could.
Just chiming in on the only eat twice a day, on a deficit I would say that’s almost perfect.
Building muscles, that would require a ridiculous amount on each serving
I would throw in a shake and an banana midway.

Hahaha! Man I honestly don’t get that crippling soreness anymore. But I do get a heavy feeling of fatigue the next day. But I can already hear my lower back and hamstrings and glutes tell me they hate me!
It’s been a few days since you logged a workout so I thought that one might hurt a little.
So a friend of mine wants to try a Ed Coan style program for the next 365 days. I’ve never done this myself, but I wrote this layout out for him.
2 Weeks of 10’s, 3 weeks of 8’s, 4 weeks of 5’s, and 3 weeks of 3’s for a full 12 week cycle done 4 times over the course of a year.
So basically in one year all his 10RM, 8RM, 5RM, and 3RM should go up 60lbs. We all know progress is not perfectly linear, but based on where he’s at, if he busts ass and works hard, there’s no reason he shouldn’t be able to progress like this. Next year I think I might try a block periodization like this as well and see how it goes.
I mean, realistically, it’s not that insane. If he was using something like this to add 60 pounds to a 600 pound squat, maybe, but since his weights are relatively low it’ll work fine. This is how I always peak and several others do as well. It works great. That’s why the GOAT used it. Ha
It’s not much different than SGSS; just spread out differently.
It’s not as much volume either, although at that low of weight, SGSS is probably a better idea.
