Jump in Weights for Moving from 2 Day SS to 5/3/1

Good morning.

I am help train a guy in his 60s. He has been following LP following a format by Andy Baker where he lifts Mondays and Thursdays. He is at the point in the program where he is taking weekly jumps of 5 lbs for squats/ deadlifts (Thursday being a light squat day 3x3 at 90% of Mondays weight), and 2 pound jumps for bench/press. After some stalls and rests he decided he would like to follow 5/3/1.

My question after dropping to 80% of his lifts should I have him continue with the current jumps of 5/2 in weight or have him do 10 for squat/ deadlift and 5 for bench/press after each wave?
