Josh Bryant Metroflex Workout

First post on T-Nation but far from new on the site, been on here almost every single day for the past 2.5 years, love this site.

Anyhow I was wondering what type of results people have got with the BJ Whitehead routine in Metroflex Powerbuilding Basics. Not that many people have the book I know but i would HIGHLY recommend it, very informative. The two others lay almost everything you could want out and explain it clear as day. If you have trained with Josh, either in person or online I`d love to here what your results were as well.

I have two threads here in powerlifting about this. Josh has done my programming since 1/1/11.

It’s good stuff btw. Hard work. I actually run a week app ten days.

Wondering if your son does much cardio with his program Tom … I am assuming he is close to my age (Nineteen) and able to handle a similar amount of work volume…

Josh is awesome to work with!

He took my squat from 405 to 500, bench from 330 to 365 and deadlift from 605 to 650 in one 16 week block.

Not much. I wouldn’t recommend it personally .
He’s doing 5 3 1 now sort of. Lots of school pressure, so he trains when he can.

Josh has me walking for cardio . If you check mug log I get a week done in ten or days. This is for recovery mainly. Btw, I’m 48.
My son had mixed results . I think it was to much to soon. He’s very academically focused . He’ll be class salutatorian this year and going to college for bioengineering . With his school load and such the training was to much.

But he might revisit it again at a later date .

wow sounds like a damn smart guy! do you find you gain much fat working with him or did you find the light cardio helped kept it off?
