You definitely have 405 in the bag. I got 385 last week and it’s been tempting to go for 405 now, but I’m just going to up the weight again and blow past 405 at the end of next cycle.

nice home gym btw![/quote]

Thanks man! 405 has been such a hurdle for me, mental I think. I’ve pulled 425 with a trap bar no problem, but for some reason 405 conventional has been a struggle.

I love my home gym! If anyone is on the fence about getting one DO IT! Best investment you can make imo.

I first pulled over 405 in 1989 in high school, at 165lb’s. In gear I have pulled 610lb’s at 198’s.

I deadlifted 180kg last Sun a new PB for me I am 43 years old and currently I weight 83kg I have been training for 25 years and I have competed in alot of Natural Bodybuilding competitions but I had always avoided deadlifts due to lower back problems but just over 2 years ago I decided to start deadlifting and the weights started to go up and I decided to compete in the deadlift at competitions I have done 6 comps now and I really enjoy them my best lift before now at a comp was 175kg at one I did in Oct 2012 so I was delighted when I finally hit 180kg on Sun hopefully I will be able to lift abit more than this in the weeks and months to come. Here is the video clip of me lifting 175kg at the comp I did in Oct 2012.

got an easy 385 for a double today, might do 400x2 next week… my deadlift has sucked and ive been incorporating doubles into my program and its increasing like crazy

Finally pulled a solid 180KG (405) last week then did 140KGx10 today. Feels good!

pulled 400x2 today, went up faster than my 385x2 last week, im guaranteed a 405lber, deadlifts have been feeling so good and easy lately since ive been listening to my body and doing what i feel is best for my progress, i have 410x2 scheduled for next week, i wanted to get a video but i was so in the zone i didnt care

Apologies on any bubble bursting here, but 180kg is about 397lbs.

You definitely got 405 no problem. Lockout looked pretty easy for you; first time I got to that weight the lift took me like 5 seconds longer.

I think Dave Tate wrote something about loading up on carbs and sodium the day before attempting a max?

Hmmm interesting, I’ll have to try it.

I hit 396 X 1 a week ago and it went up even easier (no grind at all) and I hit 376 X 3 on Tuesday this week, so if I miss 405 on 3/26 I might kill someone

Will post video

I’m in too. I’ve been doing SS for a month now and am at a 5 x 240 DL. So… Depending on how long I am able to stay on this progression, I should be at 315 in about a month and from there we shall see.

Motivational to see all these new PRs! Keep it up!

385 the other night for a single, couldn’t keep my hips down for 405. Failed a few inches off the ground.

Meet on April 6th. I plan on nailing 405.

got 410x1 today, felt real weak, did some labor that involved lifting so it just screwed me up, even squats felt weak, im aiming for 415x2 next week, maybe 420, i know i have it… well this proves my completion with these thread, i’ll see you all in the 495 thread

Here’s a challenge I can really strive for! I’m doing the OHP one, but for 1 plate instead of two. However, my best deadlift is 300 for 1 rep and I could have done more, but that was all the weight I had. Did 280 for 3 reps today, I’m going to stop squatting first, they’ve both gotten heavy enough to produce a notable negative effect.

Best set of 5 reps was with 275, but on a standard barbell, not Olympic. I’m also getting 2 45 pound plates for my b-day today, so I’ll be able to get close to 405 for a single without buying many more plates.

Boom! Hit 402 on Tuesday! Will post the video when I get a chance.

I’ve noticed heavy squats and deadlifts in the same week can really mess my CNS up, unless I decrease the volume on accessory lifts. It’s taken me a while to get to where I can train both heavy and not be dragging afterwards. I think this is where GPP training is very important. The better general shape I’m in the better I can recover from heavy deads and squats. That’s me personally anyway.

I’m just starting out, so my squats aren’t even 2 plate, my CNS is pretty much fine in terms of recovery. Only problem that I’m just starting to encounter is squats wearing me out for deadlifts, so I’m going to stop squatting on deadlift day. Doing SS and this is one of the first changes Mark talks about in the book.

I have started doing some conditioning as well, so hopefully that carries over to better recovery like it has for you.

Technically it’s only 402, but…

^

355x6 is my best so far

Not sure if anyone snagged video but my 3rd deadlift attempt today was 405. Total easy mode. If it was recorded I’ll post it.
