This I will join, next tuesday starting Coan/Phil dead routing with 405 → 455
My brother hit a 465 lb. deadlift the other day @145 lbs. BW.
Pretty bad back rounding, but the bar didn’t hitch.

It was! Here’s the vid:
I think that as he works more on his back accessories his form will improve. But IMO for just a year of lifting, that’s not bad at all.
Going to join this thread as it seems the other similar thread is dead…
Got 315 x 13 today , i’m in the first week of my third cycle of 5/3/1. This puts my max, according to Jims formula, at 450. This is up from 4 weeks ago where I got 305 x 10 ( max of 405).
5/3/1 has been really improving my deadlift…
Goal is 500 by the end of the year.
5’11 185lbs.
Hey guys! Can I join?
Hit 441 pounds last week, want those 5 plates!
6’2" 200 pounds.
Skip to 1:45 if you want to watch.

stop it with the profile pics you, I’m starting to get too distracted and it’s taking me twice as long to read your posts.
Attempting 425 as a single not this Sunday but the following one (3rd week of 5/3/1). Based on how I do with that I’ll make a timeline for 495, hopefully it can be accomplished by July/August
Pulled a pretty fast 405 yesterday. Next stop is 5 plates!! Lets go!
Currently sitting at 5’7 ~187lbs
I’ve pulled up to 405x4 a couple weeks back. I’m in on this too! Currently sitting around 189lbs @ 5’10.5"
Pulled 475 for a single (almost a double, the second rep got just above my knees) last week, got a meet next weekend so we’ll see what I can get in competition. I’d like to get 500 but it’s going to be a challenge.
Seems like I’m joining a little late but I’m in, I wanna hit that 500 mark, right now Im at 425 for 1.
Heres a vid of 405 for 2
Little late but I’m in. Pulled 440 lbs @ 194 bw. Thats was a couple days ago at a meet.
Currently sitting on 210 (462lbs), Want to hit 495lbs by the end of december for sure, just 15kg on the deadlift in two months and a bit. Really trying to hit a 405lbs squat right now so once that suckers outa the way I will hammer the deadlifts hard again!
I’m in. Best in gym so far was 455 without too much trouble. I did do 515 with reverse bands shortly after, which makes me think its right around the corner. Will try to get there in my meet on November 5th.
I’m in. Best pull to date is 475, but that was before a hamstring strain. I haven’t gone heavy for 2.5 months now. I have a meet on the 29th, haven’t decided if I’m going to pull heavy yet, my focus has been on bench.
405x6
Rep max calculators put that at 470 and my dead is usually just a little higher than what rep calculators put me at. Getting close.
Yeah, late to arrive to this, but need it. Have been training squats and deads with 5x3x1 for powerlifiting. Worked up to 460 (92.5% of 500) for my final working pull. That shit was heavy, but once it got moving, the lockout wasnt bad. Definately gonna have to keep pushing the weight to get that extra 35lbs. That was the most i have ever pulled, so i am now in uncharted waters.
Based on the way my percentages are working out, i would like to get that 500 pull by the end of 2011 and enter into 2012 with a 500 squat (current max 455 with wraps) and a 500 dead.
Now if i can just get that bench to do something…
Any tips to get strength on the bottom end of this movement(from the floor to the knees)? Thanks brothers, and see you at 5 plates!
just got 415#. see you at 5 plates Holloween of 2012. slow and steady gains are GOOOD.
No pain, No injuries, No problems… : )
Ok, im in. Current best is 440lbs @170, 6 ft. Cutting and maintenance done and over and its time to gain some mass and pursuit of a heavy pull should ensure some of the all the food goes to proper use.
