Congressman Murtha passed away today.
Like him or hate him the man had influence in PA and the Congress.
The race for his seat should be interesting now. He had a lock on it as long as he was running.
RIP. He died of gall bladder surgery complications. Sad.
May God have mercy on him and his family. His politics sucked though.
While it is a sad day for his family and my hat is off to him for serving his country (militarily).
Hopefully we can get a conservative to fill this idiots seat. He should of retired a long time ago…but then most of the politicians who serve past retirement age are there to milk the taxpayer’s money.
He was a good man. I liked him.

I’m a young dude and don’t really know too much about Murtha. Besides the video, could you guys explain to me briefly why you didn’t like the guy?
Google Murtha airport, I live an hour away from it. What a waste. In fact, all of johnstown is a waste. Government contracting firms in the middle of nowhere with a super airport that nobody except murtha will go to. He could have easily put those jobs in pittsburgh.

Most of the posts point out some of his crooked ways. Murtha airport, all the defense contractors in “his town” the list goes on. Oh, that all of us in Western Pa. are racists at least according to him. The fact that he wanted all the GITMO detainees to be moved to western pa. Can you imagine the problems that this would bring. Western pa has its problems due to all the liberal dems (pittsburgh). So good ridden to the old sponge.

Having said that, my thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends. I mean that sincerely.
What really gets me is the way the press and other congressmen/women ignore all of the blatant corruption and go on and on about how great he was. Even his military service record is questionable. He was a pork laden crook. They did the same with kennedy, it is absolutely disgusting. These people should be allowed one term and then go back to where they come from and get a real job or start a business without government monies. The way he has ripped off the American people is disgusting.
murtha, murtha, murtha…I live in Illinois so my view of politicians is somewhat tainted and I still think this joker was worse than anything my state has produced.
