Great squats, Jack! And congratz on the bar. So does that mean you can practice law by day and bartend at night?
Nice work on passing. I plan on never, ever moving out-of-state just so that I never have to face this issue.

oddly I have several friends who have done this…
Thanks, Joe, I appreciate it.
Its funny, Pete, I used to know several lawyers who bartend as well. Its some extra cash, stress relief, and a way to meet new clients (and women).
Strick, the old saying goes, “once you pass the bar, you’ll never pass another one.”
Kimba, my least favorite part is now I have three-state cle compliance and fees to deal with. From what I can tell each jurisdiction’s sole function is to take more of my time and money.
Econo prowler ordered. I figured it was cheaper than a whole new set of pants and shorts.

Pete, I really, really miss my 07 Tundra. That was an awesome truck. And and I was thinking about how much my ass had grown driving the GS home last night. But it is pretty fun to drive.
1’s day, Squats. TM 415.
Squats: 45 x 10, 135 x10, 225 x 5, 315 x5, 355 x3, 395 x 5.
Front Squats: 185 x 5, 225 x 5, 275 x 1, 300 x 1 (PR +25 lbs.)
Notes: I was not in the mood for the gym, but it had to get done. I wanted 6 reps on squats, but I am not sure it would have gone, so I stopped at 5. I have more in me on the front squats, but I am not in a hurry. I think I’ll take a few cheap PRs on these for a few weeks. [/quote]
Congrats on the PR and the bar.
I understand about not being in the mood for the gym. I had my garage door open this morning when I was training and all the Quakers heading to church across the street was throwing of my angry lifting vive. Damn Quakers.

Should’ve asked them if they wanted to work in. I’ll bet at least one or two of them are as strong as an ox.

You’re probably right. I should have hit them up when I was trying to get my shed built.
I’m dusting off all my old lawyer jokes. Have fun with your new prowler. I need to find someone with one of those around there. I’ve never used one and as much as yawl talk about them you’ve got my interest up.
Thanks for stopping in Ms. O and Ruglayer. Quackers are welcome to work in with me anytime. They make damn fine motor oil.
Hel, a women walks into her OBGYN’s office for her annual checkup. After its over, the doc asks her if she’s got any questions.
Women: “Well, just one, but its kinda stupid.”
Doc: “Go ahead and ask, there are no stupid questions here.”
Women: “Well, uh, ok, my boyfriend wants to have anal sex, and I am not really opposed, but I am a little concerned. Doc, can I get pregnant from anal sex?”
Doc: “See, that wasn’t a stupid question, where do you think lawyers come from?”
Bench day, 1’s, TM 290.
45 x30, 135 x15, 185 x5, 215 x5, 245 x3, 275 x3, 205 x 13.
Krock Rows: 120 x 25, 150 x 14 (PR + 1 rep).
Incline DB Bench: 90 x 10, 7.
Cable Rows: 165 x 20.
Notes: The wife got roped into being V.P. of our local pre-school co-op as a “non-mandatory” condition of getting our boy in next year. She had her first meeting tonight, so I had to hustle and get home. Bench was ok, I was very close to 4 reps on the money set (which would not have been a PR), I was happy with Krocks, I got what I needed to do done and got out.
Nice work, Jack. You get as much done in your quick workouts as I do in my long ones.
JJ - nice bench, db press and krocs! You’re a freakin’ machine!
My god those are some strong Krocs.
I have a seized up lawn mower at home you could probably help me start.
Nice work jack
Jack- Awesome work on the Krocs…bench is very solid.
great work Jack. What are your current goals?
Thanks, guys, for stopping in and checking on me. MJ, I need to reevaluate my current goals. I had strength goals that I wanted to reach this year, but I need to do it at a lower weight. I am not as mobil as I need to be. Today reaffirmed that. I need to “move more, eat less.”
GPP: Chased little white ball while carrying bag on back, up and down hills, 3.5 hours. My feet and hips are killing me. When did I get so soft?
Side notes: Its a beautiful day today, but I am feeling a little under the weather, so i am going to take a nap. We were planning on taking the kids to a AAA baseball game tonight, but I need to feel a little better or I am out.

You will probably be sore around your intercostals/oblique from swinging the club. Hit me up if you want a world class lesson. I can point you to some guys in the NW.
Hope you had a good time. Springtime in your neck of the woods is pretty fine.
Thanks OMP. I think one lesson would just piss me off. I have a real funky swing, but I got down to around a 6 when I was playing alot, and I hit lots of fairways and greens, I just need to get back in the groove and play a littler more–or throw the damn clubs away for good.
On a side note, I was right about feeling sick. I caught some bug/sinus infection that laid me out cold for three days. I could barely move and just stayed in bed until this morning. I still feel like shit, but at least I could move around today and get a little work done. The worst part is, the last three days were perfect weather-wise. Now, it supposed to rain for the rest of the week. You just can’t throw good days away up here. But on the upside, I think I lost a few pounds. I am going to get my diet in check for real in any event–no processed sugar, no liquid calories, some carbs but no bread, etc. Hopefully, my econo prowler gets here soon. “Move more, eat less.”
